Ego – Overcoming the Limitations of Personality While in Search of the Cosmic Self

Flickr - Mind - TheDreamSkyThe part of the person that is one’s ego is a construction of self arising from external views or perceptions of who we are. The ego measures us against others and competes for a greater sense of self and fulfillment, bound by ideas of what we have done in the past and what we will do in the future and limited to a single dimensional aspect of self. Ego therefore is a unique tasking system of analyzing, judging and labeling, thus creating in your mind who you think you are. The ego can never be satisfied, and, because is exists on the outward surface, it can never attain a connection to universal cosmic awareness of self and others. To get beyond our ego self, we must manifest a new orientation towards a greater awareness and a connection to soul self. All of our fears, judgments, thoughts and emotions are part of ego. Beneath the ego is the soul where we can process the world though love and compassion and a sense of unity to all of the cosmos.

Superconductivity: Being Open to the Flow of Being

Flickr - Pipes - Glyn Lowe Photoworks, 1 Million Views, Thanks As sovereign beings of consciousness, we are blessed with the glorious gift and responsibility of free will. The power of choice is the tool that allows us to alter and shape our reality. By making a choice to observe the moment in any particular fashion, we imprint our will upon the external universe, setting energy in motion. Any scenario or possibility that we entertain in our minds or in our hearts, we send energy out to the universe to increase the probability of this outcome.

Manifestation is a constant process, whether or not we are aware of how exactly we influence the state of the universe in every moment. The constant practice of being aware of one’s choice and one’s vibration is essential to an optimal, effective, and harmonious existence. The discipline of conscious choice is the act of embracing and saying yes to the power of humanity within the universe, and recognizing ourselves as divine co-creators amongst the infinite.

Genetically modified organisms are hiding throughout the U.S. food supply. And try as you might to avoid them, if you eat at a restaurant, are forced to pick up a snack from a vending machine, or even if you take supplements that don’t explicitly state they are GMO-free, you are likely ingesting some GMOs. But the good news is that you may be able to detox these GMOs from your body – a few tips are just below.

Many GMO foods, but specifically corn, have been studied with frightening outcomes. From simple effects like weight gain to more serious ones like organ disruption and massive tumors, we have only really scratched the surface on all of the potential effects of these lab-created foods. This is why it is vitally important to regularly cleanse and detoxify your body of foreign health-wreaking materials. Keeping them out of your diet is the first step in ensuring you don’t experience their effects, but since GMOs can’t truly be avoided, detoxing is another route you’ll want to take.

Many of the vitamins sold in grocery stores and health food stores by large companies source their vitamin C from ascorbic acid, and this comes from GMO crops. Amla, also known as Amalaki (Emblica officinalis) is a vitamin C-packed fruit found all over India and used in popular Ayurvedic formulas called Triphala and Chyawanprash. It might just be a good substitute, along with non-GMO, organic foods, to supplement vitamin C.

The vitamin C antioxidant itself is a vital nutrient that activates cell metabolism, stimulates the immune system, and composes the connective tissues of our bodies. It also helps to deactivate free radicals and has even been shown to help with radiation poisoning, a growing concern with the latest Fukushima disaster.

blood pressures 263x166 Study Finds a Link Between Blood Pressure Drugs and Increased Breast Cancer Risk

Nearly one-third (32.7%) of American women have high blood pressure, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. While many individuals with high blood pressure change their diet and increase activity levels to keep blood pressure under control, others are content to rely wholly on the chemical concoction prescribed by their doctor. There are many problems with blood pressure medications though—one of which is a significant increase in the risk of breast cancer for women.

According to a recent study published in the journal Internal Medicine, women taking calcium channel blockers like nicardipine (Cardene) and amlodipine (Norvasc) have about a 250 percent greater risk of developing some types of breast cancer than other women.

Antibiotics overprescribed in patients with sore throats

GFP Commentary: We recommend using natural remedies like Ginger Tea, Coconut Oil Pulling or Apple Cider Vinegar.

(NaturalNews) It is a familiar scenario: you go to the doctor with a sore throat and he or she prescribes you a course of antibiotics without actually verifying your condition. But new research out of Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston confirms what many of us in the natural health community have suspected for decades concerning this seemingly frivolous application of antibiotics -- that up to 90 percent of sore throat cases are viral rather than bacterial, which means they will not even respond to antibiotics.

How To Grow Organic Apples Without Any Kind of Spray or Pesticide

Apples may seem like the last bastion of pesticide-dependent gardening. In many commercial orchards, apples are sprayed 10 to 20 times per year. It’s not hard to find organic home gardeners who still believe it’s nearly impossible to grow good fruit without pesticides. Furthermore, most people probably expect organic fruit to come with a few spots or chew marks. I used to rely on insect traps and biological sprays, and I would still have fruit that was covered with disease and infested with worms. Then I found a way to grow pristine apples without using any kind of spray. Successful organic fruit-growing starts with selecting varieties that are inherently disease resistant. This important first step eliminates half the problem.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), over 12 million people in America suffer from asthma. It results in $56 billion in annual medical costs and the number of sufferers is only growing. If you have asthma, bronchitis or whooping cough, there is great news though - you may not need to rely on pharmaceutical drugs in order to treat your symptoms. You may find relief with using one natural herb – khella.

Khella has been shown to be very effective in opening the lungs, aiding in breathing, and reducing phlegm and mucus that may be causing your cough. Kella also is used to help with inflammation, and cardiovascular issues since its active ingredients seem to relax and widen blood vessels. The herb, otherwise known as Ammi Visnaga or Bishop’s Weed Fruit, is made form a dried fruit.

sugar bags 263x164 How Blocking Sugar Intake can Reduce Cancer Risk/Progression

Beating cancer by removing sugar from your diet is not a new concept. As we reported recently, leading biochemist Dr. Otto Wartburg became a vocal advocate of eliminating sugar and starving cancerous tumors of their primary fuel source nearly a century ago. Removing sugar as a preventative step was just as effective, he surmised, as cancer was caused by the body’s nonoxidative breakdown of glucose. Fast-forward to 2013 and a new study has indicated that blocking dietary sugar can reduce tumor development risk and progression of cancer cells.
