Huge Victory: USDA Introduces Official Non-GMO Label

usda-non-gmo-label-approved

For years the public has been asking the U.S. government to institute mandatory labeling for any products containing genetically modified ingredients. Now, in response to the sounds of public outcry and vital activism, the United States Department of Agriculture is being forced to do something. The agency has developed a new government certification which companies can use to show that the product is completely free of GMOs.

Though the food advancement is arguably just tip-toeing around mandatory GMO labeling, it is definitely a sign that our government agencies are being forced to listen to our collective voice, and that they are really recognizing that there needs to be something in place that can clearly differentiate GMO-riddled and non-GM foods.

Desk jobs can be killers, literally

In 2010, a team led by Alpa Patel of the American Cancer Society in Atlanta analyzed the data from a 14-year study of 123,000 middle-aged adults. When they compared mortality rates of those who spent six hours a day or more sitting and those who reported three or fewer hours — and when they took into account other factors such as diet — they found something surprising: Extra time on the couch was associated with a 34 percent higher mortality rate for women and 17 percent higher for men in the 14 years after they joined the study. It is not clear why there is such a big sex difference.

In another study, a team at the University of Queensland in Australia analyzed data on the television viewing habits of 8,800 Australians. They calculated that each hour of television correlated with 22 minutes off the average life expectancy of an adult older than 25. In other words, people who watch six hours of television a day face the prospect of dying, on average, about five years younger than those who don’t watch any.

Tantra Is The Opposite Of Porn – Learning How To Actually Be Intimate

couplelove

What if studying tantra could heal our addiction to Porn? What if tapping into our natural abilities to experience ecstasy changes everything?

I was really nervous when I first realized that I wanted to teach Tantra. What would people think? Would they be offended? Talking about sex is such a no-no. I live in a very small conservative community, how was this going to work?

But then a good friend said to me, “Do you realize what you’re offering people? Tantra is essentially the OPPOSITE of porn.” Once I realized this, I never looked back!

Porn is a funny thing. Despite some opinions, I believe that it isn’t inherently evil. Lots of people truly enjoy watching porn, including many couples who use it together to have a new experience. Yet it is seemingly undeniable that there are some real dark sides to porn.

How to Stop Absorbing Other People’s Negative Emotions

How to Stop Absorbing Other People’s Negative Emotions body mind soul spirit BodyMindSoulSpirit.com http://bodymindsoulspirit.com/

by Judith Orloff

Emotions such as fear, anger, frustration, and immobility are energies. And you can potentially ‘catch’ these energies from people without realizing it. If you tend to be an emotional sponge, it’s vital to know how to avoid taking on an individual’s negative emotions, or even how to deflect the free-floating negativities in crowds.

Another twist is that chronic anxiety, depression, or stress can turn you into an emotional sponge by wearing down your defenses. Suddenly, you become hyper-attuned to others, especially suffering with similar pain. That’s how empathy works; we zero in on hot-button issues that are unresolved in ourselves.

From an energetic standpoint, negative emotions can originate from several sources: what you’re feeling may be your own; it may be someone else’s; or it may be a combination. Here is how to tell the difference and strategically bolster your positive emotions so you don’t shoulder negativity that doesn’t belong to you.

Using Thought to Power Your Health

Diet pills? Tried them. Surgery? Thought about it. Fad diets? Tried and failed 100 times over! 1 in 5 women have admitted to using diet pills. You’d think that with the whole Ephedrine scare and the recent passing of a young lady as a result of taking diet pills people would stop using them. They haven’t. In fact, more people now than ever are taking diet pills, appetite suppressants, so-called herbal supplements, drinking strange powders mixed with water, and so on. They don’t work. Why? Because we’re too dependent.

We’re so dependent on outside things to help us lose weight, get into shape, and shape up our health that we often don’t see the forest for the trees. We don’t see that these products are not intended to help us nor have they ever. People say “Well I tried eating healthy and I just wasn’t losing weight.” That’s because we don’t want it to work. We don’t want healthy eating to be the reason for our losing weight…because eating healthy doesn’t allow us the junk food that we’ve grown to love so much. The mind is VERY powerful!

The Miracle Of The 528 Hz Love Frequency Solfeggio

by Attuned Vibrations

According to Dr. Leonard Horowitz, 528 Hertz is a frequency that is central to the “musical mathematical matrix of creation.” More than any sound previously discovered, the “LOVE frequency” resonates at the heart of everything. It connects your heart, your spiritual essence, to the spiraling reality of heaven and earth.

Let the Love 528 music play inside you

The Love frequency is the “Miracle” note of the original Solfeggio musical scale. Independently confirmed by researchers, these core creative frequencies were used by ancient priests and healers in advanced civilizations to manifest miracles and produce blessings.

The Foreskin: Why Is It Such A Secret In North America?

photo: fir0002

I was nineteen or twenty years old when a male friend of mine, we'll call him Bill, let me in on a most shocking fact: He was missing part of his penis, and so were almost all boys and men that I had ever seen in my entire life, as well as all the anatomical diagrams that I had ever seen. Ever.

Sure, I had heard of circumcision as a Jewish religious practice, but thought myself unlikely to ever see its results. Little did I know, all the male genitalia I had seen both in real life and as depicted in American anatomy books, had been edited in exactly the same way. The shock from this revelation overwhelmed me for weeks, especially since I considered myself to be fairly knowledgeable about anatomy. (My interests included biology and drawing biological structures.)

Why would anyone selectively remove foreskins, not just from real people but from scientific anatomical texts, which I had thought were meant to represent the natural human form?...

The Spiritual Power of Dance

From Soul-sciences.com

Throughout the history of the world, dance has played a vital role in some of the most important and life altering celebrations and ceremonies that have existed. Battles have been fought and won immediately following weapons dances. Kingdoms have been one and lost and celebrated with dances. Kings and Monarchs have been crowned then celebrated with dances, and marriages have been consummated with dances of another kind.

Dance has always been at the center of important events until recent history when it would seem that dance and the importance of dance to morale has been lost somewhere in the process. Dance these days seems to be limited to certain people in certain circumstances or only to those who engage in the art of dance for the entertainment of others rather than the simple joy of dancing for the sake of dancing.

Dance is one of those things that should not be a footnote in the journals of the history of the world. The ability to dance, as an outward expression of emotion is one of those rare things that separates a man from a beast.

Though the importance of dance seems to have been misplaced in the last century or so, we are seeing a rebirth of sorts for the love of dance and finally beginning to understand some of the more important issues that dance addresses.

Female Nipples causing an Internet Storm. {Nudity}

Photo: Jared Polin from Fro Knows Photo

In an attempt to drive social change and gender equality, nipples are being revealed.

This is creating awareness regarding the female nipple—it is highly regarded as inappropriate to expose, whereby, it is perfectly acceptable for male nipples to be on public show.

Basically, if men are allowed to show their nipples, then women should also be allowed to!

“It is illegal for women to go topless in most cities, yet you can buy a magazine of a woman without her top on at any 7-11 store. So, you can sell breasts, but you cannot wear breast, in America.” ~ Violet Rose

How to Relax Instantly with Yogic Breathing

Yogic breathing is a great way to chill out and oxygenate your blood — a key to good health. Shallow breaths don’t maximize the amount of the oxygen flowing through your system, which leaves your body feeling sluggish and your blood vulnerable to toxin pile-up. In time, a lack of full oxygen exchange can tax your organs, too.

Here’s how take a deep breath… for good health!

Assess your current breathing style

Before you jump right in and make drastic changes to your method of breathing, take a few minutes to ask yourself the following questions:

  • Is my breathing shallow?
  • Do I often breathe erratically?
  • Do I easily get out of breath?
  • Is my breathing labored at times?
  • Do I generally breathe too fast?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, try yogic breathing. (Even if you didn’t answer yes, conscious breathing still benefits your mind and body, as well as your emotions.)
