Top 40 Dream Symbols And Their Meanings

by Gregg Prescott, M.S.
Editor, BodyMindSoulSpirit.com

Dreams are how we process whatever is going on in the subconscious mind. Everybody dreams but unfortunately, we forget 90% of our dreams. You may want to consider keeping a dream journal and a pen next to your bed to record your dreams when you awaken.

If your dreams are overall very positive or even futuristic, then this generally tells you that you’ve done your “inner work” to resolve any current issues.

If your dreams are overall very negative, then this is a sign that there are issues that need to be addressed in your life. Consider this a blessing because these dreams are giving you the opportunity to resolve these issues.

If you’re having nightmares on a regular basis, check to see how much television you’re watching on any given day. Never fall asleep watching TV!

For those who love horror flicks, these will often be stored in your subconscious mind and will be replayed in some bizarre fashion within your dreams.

We often have repetitive themes within our dreams, such as having the ability to fly or being chased by someone or something. There’s a reason why these dreams keep occurring and it’s up to you to find out why.

The following are the Top 40 dream symbols and their meanings in alphabetical order. Please keep in mind that each dream symbol could have dozens of variants and alternative meanings. In this article, we’ll cover the most common dream symbols and the most common meanings.

Changing the world and ourselves through compassion

Be kind and you will be well. It has been the cornerstone of Eastern philosophy for centuries.

But what if recognising our shared humanity was more than just a sentimental ideal? What if consciously practising kindness could change the wiring of your brain and make you live longer?

Practicing compassion with intention has a positive physiological effect on the body. It can lower blood pressure, boost your immune response and increase your calmness.

Dr James Doty

This is neuroscience's latest frontier – a growing body of research that shows compassion could be the key to improved health, happiness and longevity.

Brain imaging reveals that exercising compassion stimulates the same pleasure centres associated with the drive for food, water and sex.

Other studies show it can be protective against disease and increase lifespan.

It proves, experts say, that not only are we hard-wired to be kind, but it is essential for the survival of our species.

Calcite Crystals, the Piezoelectric Effect, and the Pineal Gland

Learn how electromagnetic energy affects the Pineal Gland in the human body and how the Calcite Micro-crystals respond and reproduce electromagnetic energy.

As we explored the Piezoelectric effect through my other article pertaining to Quartz Crystal in which we described the Piezoelectric effect as  electricity resulting  from pressure, which holds an accumulated electric charge as a solid material, in this article we are going to further explore how this effect pertains to the Pineal Gland inside the human brain.

In this article we will be exploring how the Piezoelectric effect relates to the human brain and electromagnetic energies within and outside the human body that pertain to extra sensory perception and energetic sensitivity, especially during exercises that focus on enhancing the electromagnetic response through meditation, dreams and environmental stimulation. In metaphysical literature, the Pineal Gland has been described as the "seat of the soul", the "third eye", and "Brow Chakra (Ajna Chakra). The reference to being the "third eye" is quite ironic considering the anatomy of the Pineal Gland has a lens, cornea and retina as does the actual eye.

In Brazil, Some Inmates Get Therapy With Hallucinogenic Tea

As the night sky enveloped this outpost in Brazil’s Amazon basin, the ceremony at the open-air temple began simply enough.

Dozens of adults and children, all clad in white, stood in a line. A holy man handed each a cup of ayahuasca, a muddy-looking hallucinogenic brew. They gulped it down; some vomited. Hymns were sung. More ayahuasca was consumed. By midnight, the congregants seemed strangely energized. Then the dancing began.

Such rituals are a fixture across the Amazon, where ayahuasca has been consumed for centuries and entire religions have coalesced around the psychedelic concoction. But the ceremony one night this month was different: Among those imbibing from the holy man’s decanter were prison inmates, convicted of crimes such as murder, kidnapping and rape.

“I’m finally realizing I was on the wrong path in this life,” said Celmiro de Almeida, 36, who is serving a sentence for homicide at a prison four hours away on a road that winds through the jungle. “Each experience helps me communicate with my victim to beg for forgiveness,” said Mr. de Almeida, who has taken ayahuasca nearly 20 times at the sanctuary here.

Warning Signs Your Chakras Are Out Of Balance

There are 7 main energy centers in the body, known as chakras. Each chakra is located throughout our body so that it correlates to specific body ailment and physical dysfunctions; each energy center also houses our mental and emotional strengths. When we have a physical issue, it creates weaknesses in our emotional behavior. When we release the stale energy from the body, it can undo any tightness, stiffness, or malfunction of that area.

The clearing of the energy can also balance our emotional state of mind. The Chakra Mind-Body Balance is a two-way street: if there are certain fears and emotions we are holding on to, we experience physical restrictions, too.

If you have achiness or stiffness, or certain reoccurring emotions and fears, read along and you may find out which chakra is affected or blocked.

1st or Root Chakra

Sits at the base of your spine, at your tailbone.

Physical imbalances in the root chakra include problems in the legs, feet, rectum, tailbone, immune system, male reproductive parts and prostrate gland. Those with imbalances here are also likely to experience issues of degenerative arthritis, knee pain, sciatica, eating disorders, and constipation.

Factory Farm Antibiotics Making Children ‘Allergic to Fruits and Vegetables’

Farmers who are using antibiotics to keep pests away from their crops are making children allergic to the fruits and vegetables they grow, research suggests.

Several years ago, more than 150 scientists and 50 farmers came out in support of stricter limits on antibiotics used in animal agriculture as part of a broader effort to tackle the public health crisis caused by growing antibiotic resistance. But now, in a case highlighted in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, this concern rears its head more aggressively. Not only are antibiotics that are used in livestock harmful, but the antibiotics being used on fruits and vegetables are causing other problems.

The journal had detailed how a 10-year-old girl who ate a blueberry pie had a near-fatal allergic reaction. It turns out the problem wasn’t the blueberries, but the antibiotic streptomycin. The blueberries had been treated with the antibiotic to keep bacteria, fungi, and algae from growing on the fruit.

95-Year-old Smashes 200m World Record: ‘Bodies Can be Rebuilt at Any Age’

A 95-year-old retired dentist has set a new world record for his age group in the 200-meter indoor sprint, knocking a massive 2.4 seconds off the previous record. He’s only been running for a few years; bodybuilding and never retiring, says Charles Eugster, are the secrets to his success.

The medal-winning rower, runner, and body builder, finally took up serious bodybuilding when he was 87, having looked in the mirror and disliking what he saw...

The Swiss citizen, who speaks three languages, laments, “People have been brainwashed to think that after you’re 65, you’re finished.”

“We’re told that old age is a continuous state of decline, and that we should stop working, slow down and prepare to die,” he wrote on his celebrity Facebook Page. “I disagree.”

Water Fluoridation Linked to Higher ADHD Rates

New research shows there is a strong correlation between water fluoridation and the prevalence of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADHD, in the United States.

It’s the first time that scientists have systematically studied the relationship between the behavioral disorder and fluoridation, the process wherein fluoride is added to water to prevent cavities.

The study, published in the journal Environmental Health, found that states with a higher portion of artificially fluoridated water had a higher prevalence of ADHD. This relationship held up across six different years examined...

Study: Prohibition on Psychedelics a Violation of Human Rights, Their Use not a Risk Factor for Mental Health Problems

A study of over 130,000 adults, published this month by the Journal of Psychopharmacology, has found that the use of psychedelics such as LSD and magic mushrooms is not a risk factor for mental health problems. Researchers conclude that the prohibition on such drugs is difficult to justify, and is a violation against human rights.

Using a data set consisting of 135,095 randomly selected United States adults, including 19,299 psychedelic users, researchers examined “the associations between psychedelic use and mental health.”

Chemical Exposure Linked to Billions in Health Care Costs

Shows how screwed up people's priorities are when the main point of the article isn't that these chemicals are poisoning our children, but how much money that it's costing us. Glad to hear they're at least acknowledging what these chemicals are doing to people though:

Exposure to hormone-disrupting chemicals is likely leading to an increased risk of serious health problems costing at least $175 billion (U.S.) per year in Europe alone, according to a study published Thursday.

Chemicals that can mimic or block estrogen or other hormones are commonly found in thousands of products around the world, including plastics, pesticides, furniture, and cosmetics...

The researchers detailed the costs related to three types of conditions: neurological effects, such as attention deficit disorders; obesity and diabetes; and male reproductive disorders, including infertility.
