8 Incredible Archaeological Finds That Probably Weren’t In Your History Textbooks

1. The unfinished obelisk.

For how long and complex human history is, it’s no big surprise to me that it would miss a few major places and events, right? Well we’ll help you fill in the gaps a bit.

This obelisk was recently found in Aswan, Egypt, and was ordered to be constructed by Hatshepsut in the mid 1500s BC. The obelisk was never finished, but if it had been, it would have been Egypt’s largest.

2. Yonaguni Monument.

It’s debated among experts whether or not this underwater monument off the coast of Japan was created naturally or by man...

Long Lost Civilization Found In Honduras Rainforest

A team of archaeologists, while searching for the ancient City of the Monkey God, discovered on something much more incredible: not just a lost city, but an entire civilization lost in the annals of time.

In 2012, an aerial survey of a remote, unexplored valley in Honduras revealed the ruins of a pre-Columbian city. Some thought that it may have been the City of the Monkey God. As the National Geographic reported:

“For a hundred years, explorers and prospectors told tales of the white ramparts of a lost city glimpsed above the jungle foliage. Indigenous stories speak of a ‘white house’ or a ‘place of cacao’ where Indians took refuge from Spanish conquistadores—a mystical, Eden-like paradise from which no one ever returned.”

NASA Uncovers Evidence Of An Enormous, Ancient Ocean On Mars

An ocean once covered half of the northern hemisphere of Mars, according to NASA scientists. This makes it far more likely that the red planet was once blue – and teeming with alien life.

The ocean covered more than one fifth of the planet’s surface, making it about as large as the Atlantic Ocean. In total, it held 20 million cubic kilometers of water. That’s a bit more than what is held in the arctic ocean.

NASA unveiled their evidence for the primitive ocean on Thursday, and emerging with that evidence is a wet world with streams, rivers, and lakes soon after it was formed over four and a half billion years ago.

Only ten years ago, scientists believed that the presence of water was more random and erratic, likely in liquid form only occasionally and never in standing oceans.

“A major question has been how much water did Mars actually have when it was young and how did it lose that water?”...

Do You Like To Smoke Weed And Eat Ice Cream? Ben & Jerry’s Wants To Make It Even Easier For You

Ben and Jerry’s has a novel idea for the pot smoking ice cream lover: just put weed in the ice cream. It’s no secret that they’ve marketed their product to cannabis users in the past, with flavors like Cherry Garcia and Half-Baked.

Speaking with HuffPost Live, Ben & Jerry said that they are very open to the idea of marketing and selling a cannabis-infused ice cream, of course after it’s become legal to do so.

“Makes sense to me,” Cohen said bluntly. “Combine your pleasures.”

Greenfield was a bit more apprehensive but open to the idea.

“Ben and I have had previous experiences with substances, and I think legalizing marijuana is a wonderful thing,” he said. “It’s not my decision. If it were my decision, I’d be doing it...

10 Tips For Raising The Positive Vibrations Of Your Home

Home is where the heart is. I’ve always believed that. But home is also where the soul is. Our spirit energy is shed into our surroundings. Face it: we have really negative times in our lives, be they arguments with our spouses or sick days. For that reason, it’s important to raise the vibration of your home once in a while. We’ll walk you through how it’s done.

1. Burn sage and incense.

Both sage and incense serve as ways to purify the energy of your home. Sage clears unwanted energy from any room. Incense has also been found as a treatment for depression! Make sure you’ve opened a window to allow the smoke, and the negative energy, slip out.

2. Do a little bit of clutter clearing.

There’s nothing more satisfying to me than doing some clutter cleaning...

4 Giant Craters Found In Siberia After Flash Of Light

Scientists in Siberia have discovered four new craters in the Yamal Peninsula, one of which was discovered shortly after locals reported a giant flash of light. These craters quickly filled with snow and water and are now lakes. One of the newly discovered craters is surrounded by 20 smaller ones. It’s possible that new holes are opening up and scientists are somewhat alarmed that they can’t predict them.

Last year, three large craters were discovered in northern Russia, baffling scientists around the world. Originally, it was speculated that they might be impact craters from bombs and eruptions along fault lines. Others thought they might have been caused by aliens or underground creatures of sorts.

5 Tips For Awakening Your Inner Spirit

In the mind there is a seed that was planted at birth. That seed is our spirit. Or at least that’s what I think of it. In our lives, we can decide to nurture the seed and help it grow in a strong, robust spirit, or leave it in its unsprouted form. It is entirely up to you whether or not you want to grow your spirit, I wouldn’t judge you either way. I decided to grow it, and this is what I’ve learned.

1. When you accept tragedy, you liberate your spirit.

Suffering is a part of life. Acceptance invites into your life healing. Healing helps grow your spirit. Suppressing suffering simply creates more suffering. Do not surrender to what is in your control, but understand that many things are out of your control.

2. We choose most of our experience, so choose to live a positive life.

5 Ways To Live Life To The Fullest

I’ve noticed the older I get, the faster the days, months and years seem to fly by. It all seems like a blur! So I’ve been thinking about ways to slow down my days and make each one fuller, and this is what I’ve come up with.

1. Take back your mornings.

Wake, coffee, work, home, sleep. Sound like a typical routine? Step one to slowing down my life was to take back my morning. I wake, I have coffee, I eat breakfast, I read a bit, I do a bit of yoga and meditation, and then I start my day. Do I wake earlier? Yes. But there’s something so nice about being up a couple hours before everyone else.

2. Be fully present.

Wherever you are, be there! Even if it’s somewhere unpleasant like the dentist’s office or stuck in traffic. The moment you’re in belongs to you, so live in it.

5 Reasons Why You Should Love Your Haters

shutterstock_226217044

Some people kinda stink. They detract, criticize, and never leave you alone about your ideas and what you do. Some might even go as far as to hate you. That stinks! But you know why you should love your haters?

1. They’re probably just jealous of you.

Some people deal with envy and jealousy better than others. Sometimes when people are bummed by your success, they lash out and criticize what you do. But reacting mean or angry at them won’t fix anything. Show them love.

2. Hating is the easy way out.

When it comes to our haters, blaming you for their problems is their easy way out. But know that they have problems, real or perceived! Passing the blame on you makes coping easier for them. Knowing that they have their own problems is enough of a reason to approach them with love and kindness always!
