What Is The White Spot On Ceres, The Dwarf Planet?

In 2007, NASA’s Dawn spacecraft left the Earth and traveled to the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Its final destination is a dwarf planet in the belt called Ceres.

On March 6th of 2015, Dawn will arrive at Ceres. Already, some images have been interesting NASA scientists.

Ceres is a very small planet, qualifying both as a huge asteroid and a dwarf planet. It’s 590 miles across, which is approximately the same size as the state of Texas, and scientists have discovered the dwarf planet to consist of 25% water. Observations show huge geysers erupting from the surface and drifting into space. This dwarf planet may be a lot more than some asteroid.

Definitely the strangest aspect of Ceres is this white spot on its surface.

What A Shaman Sees In A Mental Hospital

The Shamanic View of Mental Illness by Stephanie Marohn with Malidoma Patrice Somé

In the shamanic view, mental illness signals “the birth of a healer,” explains Malidoma Patrice Somé. Thus, mental disorders are spiritual emergencies, spiritual crises, and need to be regarded as such to aid the healer in being born.

What those in the West view as mental illness, the Dagara people regard as “good news from the other world.” The person going through the crisis has been chosen as a medium for a message to the community that needs to be communicated from the spirit realm. “Mental disorder, behavioral disorder of all kinds, signal the fact that two obviously incompatible energies have merged into the same field,” says Dr. Somé. These disturbances result when the person does not get assistance in dealing with the presence of the energy from the spirit realm.

Study: Marijuana Effectively Treats Depression

A new study has confirmed what many have known for decades  – that marijuana can effectively treat different mental health conditions like Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and chronic pain.

Neuroscientists at the University of Buffalo’s Research Institute on Addictions found that endocannabinoids, which are chemical compounds in the brain that active THC receptors, may help treat depression that has resulted from chronic stress.

While studying rats, researchers found that chronic stress reduced the production of endocannabinoids, which affect our cognition, emotion and behavior, and have been linked to reduced feelings of pain and anxiety, increases in appetite and overall feelings of well-being. This reduction of endocannabinoids showed to be a risk factor for developing depression.

New Study Shows That Cats Can See Things That We Can’t

New scientific data shows that cats, long a symbol of mysticism, are able to see things that are invisible to us. Cats apparently see psychedelic stripes on flowers and patterns on the wings of birds that are completely invisible to the human eye. According to this study, cats, dogs, and some other animals are able to see types of light, like UV light, that we don’t see at all.

“There are plenty of things that reflect UV radiation, which some sensitive animals are able to see, while we are not,” said Ronald Douglas, professor of biology of the City University of London and co-author of the study. “For example, these may be certain patterns on flowers that show where the nectar is, or traces of urine of an animal. Also, reindeer can and see polar bears as the snow reflects UV radiation, while white fur does not.”

Meditation For Kids: Should There Be Meditation In School?

“If every eight year old in the world is taught meditation, we will eliminate violence from the world within one generation.” –Dalai Lama

We hear arguments for prayer in school all the time, but you don’t hear too many people asking for kids to be given the opportunity to meditate while in the classroom. Meditation has a clear physical and psychological benefits to the person meditating.

More and more, adults are turning to meditation to relieve stress and improve mental clarity, but it doesn’t stop there. Young people of nearly any age are able to learn to meditate as well. And it’s good, because children are definitely capable of feeling the same degree of stress that adults do.

Unlicensed Hemp Cultivation Gets Unanimous Approval By WA Senate

Another victory for the humble cannabis plant!

Washington’s State Senate has approved legislation that would allow the unlicensed cultivation of hemp. The bill passed unanimously. The bill also directs the Washington State University to study how to most effectively produce industrial hemp. The state will receive a report on the matter by January 14th, 2016.

The text of Senate Bill 5012 allows hemp to become an “agricultural product that may be grown, produced, processed and commercially traded in the state,” which is a sharp deviation from the laws most states have about the planet. This growth can be unlicensed, though the hemp must contain no more than 0.3% THC.

It Isn’t Hippie Talk – Science Proves “Magic” Mushrooms Expand Your Mind

A study out last year from the Imperial College of London shows that our brains display a similar pattern of activity during dreams as it does during a mind expanding drug trip. This study found that while dosed with psilocybin, the psychoactive compound in mushrooms, activity in the more primitive brain network linked to emotional thinking became considerably more pronounced.

Drugs (if you can even call them that) that have psychedelic reactions when taken can profoundly experience the way we see the world. This new research, published in Human Brain Mapping, has examined the brain effects of psilocybin, using data from the brain scans of volunteers injected with the compound.

“What we have done in this research is begin to identify the biological basis of the reported mind expansion associated with psychedelic drugs"...

Has Science Finally Proven The Existence Of The Aura?

human-field
There is a growing belief that, among the physical layers of the human being there are also non-visible layers, such as the aura, sometimes called the biofield. This biofield is made up of electromagnetic fields and energy structures that contain information for helping the systems of the human body and work properly. This biofield is thought to interact with the human body, and appears as a hologram that harnesses the power of frequency, vibration, electricity, and magnetism so that we can experience life in the material realm.

Deep, huh?

Some scientists have begun to subscribe to the idea that all organisms, and most non-living things too, generate their own energy field. This must has been proven by Dr. Korotkov’s Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV) technology. His technology allows anyone to take photographs of an object and see its energy field.

Fossils From An Undiscovered Species Of Human Discovered

Not quite human, not quite Neanderthal, but something else. That’s what scientists who have discovered fossilized teeth in China are calling it. The teeth likely belonged to hybrids of known populations of hominids, or to a whole new species of human that we simply never knew of.

Homo neanderthalensis lived in Europe and western Asia, while Homo sapiens lived in Africa. A mysterious group of extinct human relatives called Denisovans were present in Siberia, and Homo floresiensis lived in Indonesia. These teeth were recovered from an early Late Pleistocene site in Northern China.

How To Start Rebuilding Your Life And Make It Ridiculously Amazing

amz

1. Make a commitment to yourself

I (name),

Make a commitment to myself,

To spend so much time improving myself and my life that I have no time for worry,  judgement, criticism, whining and complaining;

To forgive, release and let go of my attachment to any past struggles and allow every challenge life sends my way to make me better not bitter.

Starting now, I make a commitment to let go of what’s behind me and start appreciating what’s in front of me;

To let go of all the pointless drama, all the toxic relationships, thoughts and behaviors that are present in my life and to constantly shift my focus from the bad on to the good;

To make room in my heart for love, happiness, peace and tranquility and to create my life from a place of infinite choices and possibilities – the present moment, and no longer from a place of limitations – the past.
