Can War Stop War? Campaign Asks People To Join In Spreading The Message Of Peace This Christmas

On the weekend following Friday, November 13th, 2015, the world united in supporting the people of Paris by temporarily updating their profile picture with the colours of the French flag. 130 innocent people died that day.

As Christmas fast approaches,  we would like to ask you to now unite in supporting the hundreds of thousands of innocent victims who are being persecuted both in the Middle East and the West, and in remembering all those who are subject to war and persecution, as well as the brave people around the world who are devoting their energies to helping them.

How To Go After What You Love In Life & Mitigate The Risk

In the animal kingdom both prey and predator have to take risks to survive. There is no comfort zone that allows for sustained security. For example, wild rodents must leave the safety of their den to forage for food with the knowledge that they could come across predators. Yet they are equally aware that if they stay in their den they will starve; a risk must be taken to get what they need to survive.

Predators such as leopards, on the other hand, also have to take risks when hunting prey. Many of the prey they hunt, such as baboons and wild boar, are equipped with dangerous horns, teeth, and other evolutionary tools used for self-defense. When pursuing these animals, the leopard risks serious injury every time it hunts; fatal injuries which could prevent it from hunting and nurturing its young must be carefully considered during each hunt. Mothers must risk having their offspring eaten by predators or rival males every time they leave their young to go get food. If the leopard chooses not to hunt it will starve, so it once again has no choice but to take risks. Animals that survive these risks and become more adept at successfully taking them evolve.

There’s A Hidden Network Of Psychedelic Temples Under The Alps

Damanhur is a commune, ecovillage, and spiritual community that was founded in 1975 by a man named Falco Tarassaco. It is situated in the Piedmont region of northern Italy about 30 miles north of the city of Turin, in the foothills of the Alps.

It is best known for its otherworldly underground tunnels that feature a cathedral dedicated to awakening the divine spark present in every human being, known as the Temples of Humankind. Called the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” what makes these temples so extraordinary is that they were dug (almost) entirely by hand into the heart of the mountain in which they reside.

5 ‘Errors’ In Thinking That Have Effectively Changed The World

It seems everywhere we turn there is bad news — our economy is lagging, our political institutions are failing us, and environmental destruction and climate change are upon us. With such uncertainty and confusion as to where we are headed, it is difficult to navigate the world and make sense of why and how we have managed to get to this point. Work by Jared Diamond, Joseph Tainter, and Ronald Wright has contributed much to the conversation around understanding why societies fail, succeed, or simply collapse. There are numerous reasons why societies collapse, ranging from environmental degradation (soil erosion, salinity problems, water scarcity), overpopulation, over exploitation of natural resources (water, forestry, over fishing, overhunting), and economic dislocation. Many of these problems are a direct result of how we make decisions and human errors of thinking.

Our human misjudgements and biases impact every aspect of our lives and influence what happens throughout society. While there are hundreds of biases which shape how we think and act, our discussion will focus on a few which are particularly relevant at this point in time. It is the choices and decisions we make which really matter, as these define us as individuals, communities, and nations. These decisions ultimately determine our future and that of the generations to come. It is through our choices and our ability to see through the fog that we will be able to make better, more informed decisions, for the benefit of all.

The Massive Prison Industry In The United States: Big Business & Slavery

Despite the fact that various social, political, and human rights organizations have condemned the United States’ prison system, it remains one of the biggest businesses in existence today. Did you know that America has four percent of the world’s population, yet still carries approximately twenty five percent of the world’s prison population? That is a staggering number. America has the highest incarceration rate in the world and it is increasing exponentially each year. Almost half of American juveniles will have been arrested before they reach their 23rd birthday, and children as young as 13 years old have been sentenced to die in prison. The cost of this system? Approximately $75,000,000,000 a year…

These are just a few startling statistics outlined in the video below. Check it out.

The Last Full Moon Of 2015 Will Fall On Christmas

Christmas is a day of reflection, gratitude, togetherness, cheer, warmth, giving, and goodness. It’s unique for many reasons, one of them being that it happens one day a year — a birthday if you will. When a full moon occurs, there’s an overwhelming energy that arises. The sun and the moon are in opposite Zodiac signs. And while it proves to be a time of utter charge, it also brings about a sense of balance — the solar yang and the lunar yin are congruous. When the two occasions occur simultaneously, well, that just feels extra special.

The end of a year brings about many feelings. We replay the events of the past and how we changed and grew, and we use our missteps and misfortunes as well as our positive outcomes to pave new intentions for the year ahead of us. We are sensitive this time of year, because there is such a huge transition surfacing.

Three Alternatives To Living That Will Blow Your Mind – Not Your Budget

As part of the increasing desire to simplify one’s life and live more sustainably, there are various trends which have been emerging over recent years. Eco designed housing which provided better insulation, passive solar design, and the use of renewables was all the rage back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Now things have really ramped up with some cool, practical, and inexpensive methods of building, demonstrating you don’t need to have loads of cash to afford something practical, sustainable, and liveable. People are turning to a whole range of alternative housing options such as container pallets, straw bale, earth berm, earth bag, recycled materials, and used car tires as building materials. Here are three alternative to building which will no doubt change the way people live…

How Muscle Testing Taps Into The Subconscious Mind To Reveal Hidden Secrets

Muscle testing, or applied kinesiology, is an emerging practice that can reveal hidden secrets in the subconscious energetic body. The energetic system of the body has been largely ignored by mainstream medicine but has its roots in ancient cultures thousands of years old. In fact, this is the system that is being worked on in not only muscle testing, but acupuncture, pressure points, massage, tapping, and some homeopathic pain patches. Muscle testing includes but is not limited to a few different hybrid techniques like: Neuro Emotional Technique or NET, Autonomic Response Testing, and Applied Psycho Neurobiology.

Why Don’t Most People Believe in An Energetic Body?

There has not been much scientific research performed at all on the energetic body due to pharmaceutical backed studies. However, there is a wealth of personal accounts of vast improvement with muscle testing. Kinesiology and muscle testing blossomed under the care of most chiropractors. Again, most medical doctors have a misguided view of chiropractors which is too bad, considering the American Medical Association was found guilty of conspiracy against chiropractors in the 1980s.

Psychedelics vs Meditation, Which Is More Transformational?

Continuing from a previous article I wrote on Collective Evolution about karma, I thought I’d point out the way in which psychedelics and meditation differ from each other when helping people deal with their karma. As mentioned in the previous article, karma in this case is used to describe the things within ourselves that hold us back; not just the actions we gamble with that we know have consequences, but also our underlying malfunctions that we are not even consciously aware of. Meditation and psychedelics affect the mind in different ways, however both in my opinion bring about transformation that enables one to better navigate the condition of being human, which pretty much all boils down to just mastering your ego…. not an easy task.

Psychedelics

Psychedelics allow people to be mindful by over-exposing themselves to all the aspects of themselves that hold them back. There are moments when you trip and it’s all beautiful and happy, but when your mind goes into some dark places, it is usually a place that is coming from your own insecurity. From trauma to emotions and thoughts that hold you back, these experiences are usually amped up in ways that can be frightening to endure. When your mind revisits painful memories of things that happened to you or things you did to others, they are often experienced very intensely throughout the trip. Coming down from the trip, you can sometimes become so overwhelmed by it that you have no choice but to become aware of those personality traits within you that are making your life less than ideal. Those type of trips can be a tough pill to swallow as they serve as an unapologetic wake up call, a call to action to get your shit together, and deal with your issues. This message doesn’t always resonate with everyone, but to those who can handle looking at themselves in the mirror with all their vulnerabilities, it can be one of many pivotal shifts in consciousness that will navigate the trajectory of your destiny.

The Evolution Of Consciousness – Are All Creatures Conscious?

Before we can begin to consider the evolution of consciousness, we have to ask when consciousness first arose. Are human beings alone conscious, or are other creatures also conscious? Is an animal such as a dog, for example, conscious?

Dogs may not be aware of many of the things we are aware of. They are not conscious of much beyond their immediate world, the world defined by the span of their senses. They know nothing of lands beyond the oceans, or the space beyond the earth. Nor can dogs be aware of much beyond the present time.

They know nothing of the course of history, or where it might be headed. They are not aware of their inevitable death in the same way that we are. They do not think to themselves in words, and they probably do not reason as we do. And they do not seem to have the self-awareness that we do; they certainly do not get caught up in concern for their own self-image, with all the strange behaviors that engenders. But this does not mean that dogs have no awareness at all.
