Nobel Prize Winning Scientist Teleports DNA From One Location To Another

The world of science is undoubtedly becoming more mysterious by the day. This is exemplified by multiple discoveries within the realms of quantum physics, parapsychology, and more — discoveries that have challenged (and continue to challenge) the current framework of accepted scientific knowledge. This kind of shift in ideology has happened many times over the course of our history; when the world instantaneously became round from flat, the majority of people were in disbelief and labelled the new theory’s proponents as blasphemers.

Some great examples of science that challenge these current and long held belief systems include: quantum entanglement, studies which examine the role of consciousness on physical systems (like the quantum double slit experiment), placebo studies, distant healing, and more.

Another great example is teleportation, as several interesting findings within this field seem to be (at least partly) turning science fiction into science fact.

Can a Grandmother From a Hunter Gatherer Tribe Become a Solar Engineer?

We’re all looking for stories of hope – that the world can be changed, that we are not limited by our culture, our backgrounds, our histories – and few stories are as inspirational as that of Lucy Naipanoi, a grandmother of Maasai, one of the last hunter gatherer tribes left on the planet.

With the help of her children and the wonderful people at Barefoot College, Lucy has become the Solar Mamma of her tribe, bringing light and energy to her neighbours’ households and her own, so that they and their children can adapt and thrive in an ever changing world and retain their respect for mother nature by adopting sustainable practices from the outset of their development.

Tantric Intimacy & Sex: Why It Can Be So Important

Many people begin the journey into tantra because they hear that they can have AMAZING SEX!! (And who doesn’t want that?)

Others feel the mystical call of the ancient spiritual path of tantra — the desire to experience the divine in every moment of their lives, the desire to truly awaken to their full divine/human potential.

And many feel broken in some way. They’ve had painful past relationships, sexual difficulties, feelings of being disconnected and having lost meaning in their lives, and hear that the path of tantra can help them.

The truth is that in order to experience the phenomenal bliss and ecstasy of tantric intimacy, we have to embrace all three.

Tantra Forces Us To Get Real!

The magic of practising tantra is that we absolutely have to get real with ourselves if we are going to have a tantric experience. We can learn techniques and do group exercises and read books. But if we don’t actually look into our hearts, our brokenness, and our challenges and heal them, we will not find the ecstasy that we’re looking for.

The Youngest Case Of Type 2 Diabetes Ever Recorded Shows Us An “Emerging Epidemic”

It is no secret that there is an obesity and diabetes epidemic sweeping across North America. In fact, 1 in 10 adults in the United States over the age of 20 have been diagnosed with this disease. That is an alarming statistic. What is even more alarming is the drastic increase of children being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Recently, a case study was presented at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes in Stockholm which detailed the youngest known case of diabetes — and the victim is a 3 year old child.

The girl, of Hispanic background, was presented to a paediatric endocrinology clinic and seen by Dr. Yafi for obesity evaluation. She was showing symptoms of excessive urination and thirst, both textbook symptoms of type 2 diabetes. Although both the girl’s parents are obese, there is no history of diabetes in her family.

What’s The Cause?

Upon review of the child’s diet it was found that the family practiced poor nutritional habits...

You Can Listen To The Music Of Your Plants With This Device (MIDI Sprout)

“All of nature begins to whisper its secrets to us through its sounds. Sounds that were previously incomprehensible to our soul now become the meaningful language of nature.” – Rudolf Steiner

Biodata sonification is a process which allows us to convert the activity of plants to music. Pioneered by creative engine/record label Data Garden, the device — called the MIDI Sprout — gives us a glimpse into the “secret life” of plants, and the subtle harmonies they generate that go undetected.

According to Data Garden, the MIDI Sprout works by “using two probes that measure small electrical currents across the surface of a plant’s leaf. When applied to a human this is called the galvanic skin response (GSR). GSR readings provide insight into humans’ inner emotional states and are the basis of simple lie detector circuits.

The MIDI Sprout converts these fluctuations into MIDI notes and controls that can be read by synthesizers and computers. This information can be scaled and played through synthesizers or used to activate pre-programmed sonic environments.”

How To Meditate Without Even Trying

You may be surprised to hear that meditation should be effortless, that no striving or concentration is needed. I know I was. When I first became interested in meditation, back in the mid-sixties, I was repeatedly told that it took great mental discipline and many years of practice. Indian teachers had likened the mind to a wagonload of restless monkeys that needed to be tied down and kept quiet.

And my experience appeared to confirm it. My mind was full of thoughts, and try as I may, I could not keep them at bay. Like many others, I naturally assumed that I was not trying hard enough; I needed greater mental discipline, not less.

However, a quiet mind is not a state of mind to be achieved. It is the state we experience when there is nothing to be achieved. It is the mind in its natural condition, untarnished by fears and desires, and the thoughts they create. When everything is OK in our world, we feel OK inside; we are at ease.

(Video) Watch A Man Who Built A Train For Rescued Dogs Take Them Out On Adventures

80-year-old Eugene Bostick, from Fort Worth, Texas, may have retired from his career 15 years ago, but in doing so he opened up time to start some impactful work by taking in and feeding stray dogs in his area. And thus began his new endeavour – as a train conductor for abandoned dogs.

It wasn’t a dream or a plan of the retiree to help animals in need, but as the dogs started showing up after being abandoned and left to die by careless owners, he decided to do something about it.

In an interview with The Dodo, Bostick said: “We live on a dead-end street, where me and my brother have a horse barn. People sometimes come by and dump dogs out here, leaving them to starve. So, we started feeding them, letting them in, and taking them to the vet to get them spayed and neutered. We made a place for them to live.”
