11:11, Have You Noticed?

“It’s 11:11, make a wish!” We have all heard this from one time or another in lives. It seems as though ever since I acknowledged 11:11 as a time to make a wish, I started noticing the set of numbers every day. Each day it served as a reminder to set out an intention into the universe. Some have come to believe there is a deep spiritual message to be received from our spirit guides, angels, or higher selves through this occurrence.

They say this numeric phenomenon happens to remind us of the synchronicity between our internal consciousness and our external world. This law of attraction type of occurrence also helps us to stay present and consciously aware of our thoughts and feelings during this cosmic shift on Earth. This can serve as a reminder that there is something greater than ourselves in whom we can seek guidance and wisdom any time we feel scared, aggravated, or lost.

5 Modern Families Living It Up Off The Grid

Living off the grid isn’t just some hippie weirdness anymore. More families are being turned on to this lifestyle for a variety of reasons; be it a way of living simply, getting away from fossil fuels, the satisfaction of being independent, or simply because they want to do greater social good in the world.

The definition and reasoning for living off the grid has changed from when the movement first started in the 60’s to modern day. The 1960’s – 1970’s off the grid lifestyle centered on people wanting to do for themselves; living simply and synchronized with nature. The back-to-the-land movement of that time period was about families, solitary sorts, and offbeat communes craving to live a life in the wilderness away from the mainstream society. Dona Brown, author of Back to the Land, a history of the movement, said that “Many of those people dreamed of escaping modern society completely. They were thinking about opting out.”

Now You See It, Now You Don’t: Glimpses of the Unseen World

Those of us who have tried meditating know that accessing the Now can enable us to hear things that we normally ignore or suppress from typical awareness — the sounds of birds, the wind, and, of course, the ever present noises of civilization.

The same goes for our vision. There is much more to be seen than typically meets the eye! Personally, I enjoy meditating with my eyes open and recommend in my book Active Consciousness that you at least begin your meditations that way. I have found that when I do, I often see things that are normally below my visual radar. These visual gems range from easily visible but somehow unseen wonders of the natural world, to phenomena that are accessible only when I attain a deeper state of awareness. I have found that when we do notice these things, we begin to experience a world that is so much more wonderful and awesome than we normally acknowledge — a world in which there is even more to be grateful for!

10 Lessons Learned From A 3 Year Old

By: Angela Amirault | Ad Astra Therapy

I have a beautiful god-daughter who I think is one of the smartest, sweetest, most beautiful kids on the planet. After minding her I have a further appreciation of sleep and for all parents out there. Kids are wonderful teachers as they can see a world filled with joy and opportunities. I think we could all benefit from having such beliefs.

Below are some of things I have learned from her and other children, they are all adding light to an often dark and cynical world.

  1. The world is an amazing place. With fresh eyes we can appreciate so much more around us. Helicopters and airplanes are a marvel. Our imagination is an incredible tool that we rarely use for good. Every morning is a gift and we should all wake up as excited as a child because it means a new day full of possibility.

Why the Quantum World is Changing Everything

By: Thais Gibson | Hack Your Passion

Quantum physics is the new physics that is pointing to something far greater than the materialistic world that we once believed to be the basis of our existence. Not only is disproving our original perception of space and time, but it is opening the doors to possibility of time travel, telepathy and consciousness creating our reality. Below are some of the major properties of quantum mechanics and the implications they have on the world around us. You won’t be disappointed!

Quantum Entanglement: When two sub-atomic particles cross paths with one another, they become “entangled.”This means that their properties become linked with one another. When these entangled particles are separated (even millions of miles or light-years apart), what happens to one particle instantaneously happens to the other particle.

Why this is so phenomenal: This means that information is travelling far faster than the speed of light to be communicated in an instant way across vast distances.
This defies what we previously knew to be possible, and also hints at the notion of telepathy having the potential to be scientifically studied.

There Are No Problems in the Present Moment

By: Stephen Parato | Feeling Good, Feeling Great

While I was in the shower this morning, I found myself getting annoyed and worked up…

I recently broke up with the woman I was dating. So I was grappling with my ego and mulling over the past. Realizing that I had created this negative mental spiral, I asked myself “What am I doing RIGHT NOW?” My answer was simply “I’m in the shower.” No problems, nothing bad happening to me, just water happily running over my body.

Of course, parting ways with someone close to you is difficult, but being completely present helped me to transcend the incessant, ego-driven thought loops that didn’t serve me.

To be clear, I’m not saying to suppress or ignore emotions. They must be acknowledged and dealt with or they will manifest in insidious ways. I’m merely pointing out that, through presence, I was able to stop the repetitive, problem-creating “ego-talk” that wasn’t doing me any good.

How to Reconnect with Nature, Supply our Own Resources and Rebuild Local Communities

Humanity has lost its connection to nature. We’re so bombarded with artificial imagery and superficial living that we think that taking in the sunset or going for a bushwalk is all it means to unite with our mother earth. These practices are in and of themselves a great experience, however they don’t truly represent the holistic way in which we should be connecting to the spirit of the natural world and the life that it breathes.

We have disconnected from our food. We have forgotten the cycles of natural systems. We are blind to the divine patterns found in nature. We hardly recognise the innate wisdom of knowing our environment like the back of our heart.

The urbanisation of civilisation is partly the cause. Living in a cement jungle on top of each other is an ironic twist to being more emotionally isolated from each other. The way in which we should be engaging with our local community has been inhibited by the organisational systems that the majority of us subscribe to. And for what? To feed the unsustainable and destructive economic principle of growth by attending a monotonous job from 9 to 5, one in which the bulk of us don’t even enjoy?

3 Scientific Fields that are Evolving Humanity’s Worldview

The collective perception of humanity has been highly influenced by the scientific method, especially over the last few centuries. This consensus has continually evolved throughout that time by transcending old ways of thinking about the ‘reality’ of the universe. It hasn’t stopped either; the accumulating scientific evidence, especially from the quantum, psychological and parapsychological realms, is facilitating a meta-paradigm shift that is significantly influencing the course of humanity’s destiny.

A common mistake made in the mainstream mindset is assuming that science is a field which is an unadulterated snapshot of reality, but it does have its problems. First, the scientific establishment has become primarily an institution, and as with any human enterprise, it is subject to politics, corruption and corporate influence. Second, science cannot explain everything. Third, the established ‘facts’ that are derived through experimenting with the external world have consistently changed over time, effectively illustrating that many weren’t truths after all. And finally, philosophical bias ‘unscientifically’ plagues modern science.
