Welcome to Sun in Aquarius! Two titans beyond Saturn elevate their status in the transits with the Sun’s ingress. Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, assumes renewed importance with the massive core of the solar system entering his sign. Of great interest is Neptune in Pisces returning to central importance in the transits, perhaps unexpected with Sun’s emphasis on Uranus. The Uranus-Neptune prominence recalls the slow, progressing struggle between Uranus and Neptune via the transition from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius. I am reasonably convinced that we are still in the Age of Pisces…but with every passing day, the Age of Aquarius draws closer. Neptune’s current preeminence symbolizes the need for the end of a Great Age to retain its power and hold on society. So we have entrenched implements of the current age (government, large corporations, major religions, other institutions) attempting to “reach into” the next age to retain its power: namely, internet, communications, and other advanced technology (Aquarius) used to serve the purposes of the current age. I wrote a short article for an NGCR newsletter about the Pisces-Aquarius transition and it’s a topic worthy of serious research and various articles or a book. Anyhow, a rich topic with many theoretical extensions and practical applications and observations.

This week seems to be in large part about Mars. Although he makes some tough aspects with some heavy hitters – squaring Saturn, conjuncting Neptune, and even aspecting Hades (Transneptunian) by the end of the week, the opportunity to use one’s will, personal energy, and assertiveness is pronounced with Mars changing signs and interacting with various titans in the heavens. Mars entering Neptune’s sign suggests an emphasis on using drive and application of energy in a creative or spiritual manner. Mars in Pisces gives an image of “spiritual warrior”, using the watery, subtle Pisces energy to advance and defiantly fight for higher ideals.

Mars is generating excitement this week with his sign change, however, overall this is a relatively stable week, it appears, in the transits. The “controlled expansion” theme continues.

Saturn is still stealing the show in the transits this week. “Disciplined expansion of consciousness” is an appropriate keyphrase for this week. Sun, Vesta, Pluto, Mercury, and Venus reside in Capricorn, Saturn’s home sign, for the entire week, indicating an opportunity to use thinking, cooperation, transformative qualities, and self-expression to initiate and accomplish various concrete goals. Apollon (Transneptunian) aspects Saturn all week; Saturn gives structure to Apollon’s multiplication effect. Hard work this week has a greater than average chance of increasing returns, especially with Jupiter among the more influential energies.

The core of the solar system, our Sun, leaves Jupiter’s sign Sagittarius this week. Yet almost as soon as he leaves Sagittarius, Saturn moves into Jupiter’s sign, which is a major event. Also, the Capricorn sign contains as many as five of the ten planets during the week, placing an additional emphasis on Saturn. Saturn has a reputation as an unpleasant planet. However, can he ultimately help you to expand your limits? Discipline and determination can bring rich rewards to those who are persistent. What a cool week in the transits. Mars moves into Aquarius. Now Mars and Uranus are in each other’s signs! Although the two so pronounced in the heavens together can result in what feels like a roller coaster ride that doesn’t end, a great deal of energy is available for technological breakthroughs and intelligent actions. Saturn, Sun, Pluto, Mars, Neptune, and Uranus are in consecutive signs as well, creating an interesting opportunity to integrate many of the various zodiacal energies into your life.

December 5 and 6 are good days for pushing forward your personal expansion and growth. This is offset by some potential negatives to be aware of on December 10 and 11; be aware of unpleasant past issues returning to the present. The emotional life is reasonably good on December 5 and 6, and then relatively tense on December 10 and 11. So very much a see-saw week, with the plusses at the beginning of the week. Just for Aries: ample preparation for various contingencies is prudent this week.
