Higher Consciousness: Your Connection Is Real

Credit: Pinterest.com

A reading by Wes Annac, Culture of Awareness

Note from Wes: For a couple years, I’ve been trying to find a way to understand and communicate what these intuitive readings I’ve been receiving really are, and I’ve struggled with it until recently.

My channeling journey has been different from a lot of other people’s, and instead of sticking with one set definition of exactly what or who I was channeling (i.e. Ascended Masters, higher self, etc.), I’ve been trying to find the perfect way to define and subsequently expand the connection.

All of the name changes I’ve given these messages reflect the journey of understanding who they come from, and after some meditation and contemplation, I’ve arrived at what I think is the perfect label to help everyone understand what it is: Higher Consciousness.

‘Higher consciousness’, which I’ve written a lot about, is the higher self. It’s a good, deep meditation. It’s the Voice Within; the inner compass; our intuitive link with God, and if we can empty the mind and open up to it, it’ll impart its bliss onto us and teach us valuable lessons about our spiritual evolution.

More on Motivation and Spiritual Revolution

Credit: Motivationalmemo.com

By Wes Annac, Culture of Awareness

I wrote yesterday that I’m feeling more motivated to help people wake up, and today, I’m realizing that I also want to be more dedicated to the spiritual path. I want to write about more things that genuine spiritual teachers and other sources have said, and I want to put the things I learn into play.

Most importantly, I want to learn to be centered and present in this moment. I want to learn more about heart-centeredness and responding to difficult or stressful situations in a more constructive way, and I want to explore my consciousness a lot more.

Some of you might have similar goals right now, and the best advice I can give is to be confident in yourself. Don’t let your dedication wane, even when you don’t think you can keep on, and try your best to stay rooted in the spiritually-driven way of life you want to cultivate. Don’t let anyone make you think you’re wrong for living the way you do, and stand strong when you face criticism or condemnation.

Motivation and Spiritual Revolution

I feel more motivated than ever to use writing to awaken and uplift people, and in my view, we have every reason to be thankful for (and excited about) our role in transforming the world.

We can change the world by pouring our love and creative expression into it, and the more art we create here, the more minds and hearts we can open. We can help people bring some joy back into their life, and we can inspire them to liberate themselves.

It can be easy to get unmotivated, but it helps to remember that we’re doing all of this for a reason. We’re here to help everyone wake up and make the inner and outer changes that are required if we want to collectively evolve, and no matter how hard we try to convince ourselves otherwise, everything we contribute is valuable. Even the things we don’t think are so great can help people in one way or another, and this is why we need to keep at it when our confidence wanes and we don’t think we can contribute anything significant.

Writing and Awakening the Masses

We live in an interesting time, and there’s a lot I could be writing about right now. There are plenty of daily stories about the big corporations that are polluting the planet and misleading consumers in the name of profit, and there are an equal amount of stories about corruption in government.

Every week, something new happens that grabs people’s attention and makes them forget what’s really important, and while we should talk about corporate and government corruption, I don’t always want to take the time to write about them.

I don’t just want to write about corruption or the environmental destruction taking place on a daily basis, because I have a different purpose for writing. I write so I can share love and spiritual awareness, and my main goal is to uplift people.

Like plenty of other conscious people, I feel like I’m here on a mission to use love and awareness to awaken the masses, and beyond informing them about corruption and hypocrisy, I want to help them find enlightenment.

Happiness: Right Here, Right Now

By Wes Annac, Culture of Awareness

I have an exercise we can try at random times throughout the day.

No matter what we’re doing, let’s stop, look around, and give thanks for our existence. Even if our day’s stressful and we just can’t seem to catch a break, let’s be grateful for something. Let’s find something to appreciate, because it could bring down our stress level and encourage us to get back out there with more strength.

Most people are too rushed to stop and appreciate life, but if we could understand the significance of this moment, we’d see that it holds all of the happiness we need. We can find a banquet of happiness and contentment simply by enjoying the Now, and if we’re willing to quiet the mind, we can even tap into the intuition and learn a thing or two about life.

We don’t even have to do anything. We just need to be, and we’ll notice a positive change when we give ourselves more time to relax, meditate and just exist. We’ll learn that we can enjoy life regardless of our circumstances, and we don’t have to seek happiness in external things. We can be unconditionally happy, but we have to empty out our physical desires and learn to be content with this moment, no matter what it has in store.

Releasing Resistance and Learning from Life

When was the last time you had to go through something stressful or frustrating, only to realize by the end of it that you learned a valuable lesson? If you’ve experienced this, then you aren’t alone. We all go through difficult, stressful and painful things, and most people don’t realize that these experiences are actually teaching them.

If you want to take it even further, you could say that everything we experience is a lesson. Every moment – from the joyful to the sad or stressful – has some kind of teaching for us, and we just need to open up to find the lesson. Openness will help us understand that our difficult experiences are teaching us, and our knowledge will skyrocket pretty quickly when we open up to these constant teachings.

Reclaim Your Spiritual Freedom

Spirituality is what we make of it, and nothing stops us from experiencing it uniquely. It’s probably harder for people who follow strict religions that limit their freedoms, but even then, it’s only as impossible as we make it. There are always little things we can do or little changes we can make to the way we think, and we can’t give up on our unique beliefs if other people condemn us for them.

If you consider yourself a Christian and you start to entertain a belief or lifestyle that goes against what other Christians consider acceptable, there’s a chance that the people around you will criticize you and maybe even try to ‘convert’ you back to their way of thinking – even if you never left Christianity in the first place. It can be disappointing when the people who mean the most to you won’t accept you because of a slight change in your beliefs, but this is the sad reality for a lot of people.

I can’t imagine what it’s like for people in religious families who abandon their faith altogether. I’m sure the numerous attempted conversions would be enough for most people to see that their religion isn’t as tolerant or accepting as they once thought, and while it’s tragic, their family’s refusal to accept them could actually liberate them more.

Happiness Is Natural

We don’t have to struggle to find happiness, and the difficulty lessens when we learn to live from the heart. It can be hard to be happy or heart-centered when we have so many responsibilities and life throws so many curveballs our way every day, but despite our circumstances, happiness is here in every moment and we can always call on it.

With the exception of being in a bad mood, which usually does take some effort to depart, the key to true and lasting happiness is to stop searching for something we already have. We won’t find it in material things that only give us a fleeting glimpse of joy before we’re unsatisfied again, and we won’t bring it up from within if we try too hard. Whether we realize it or not, love and happiness are effortless and we only need to stop forcing them and let them express themselves naturally.

Can the Bible Teach Us Anything Genuine?

Credit: Turnbacktogod.com

By Wes Annac, Culture of Awareness

This is going to be hard for me to write, because I’ve always had a problem with the way religion misrepresents spirituality. I feel like religion gives spirituality a bad name, and especially when it comes to tolerance, religion has failed to reflect the messages of various enlightened messiahs, prophets, masters, etc.

I’ve always resisted religion because it uses control and uptight dogma to keep us from understanding true spirituality, and I feel like it was devised to make people forget what spirituality is supposed to be.

Spirituality doesn’t have to be associated with control or giving up our lives just to be in God’s favor, but religion has twisted and perverted it into something that completely contradicts its original meaning.

Not to mention that people have been (and continue to be) killed senselessly for centuries in the name of God or because of some ‘holy’ book. I could probably write a whole book of my own on why we shouldn’t put our faith in religion, which is why it’ll be difficult to say what I want to say.

The bible (and various other religious books) has obviously been edited by leaders throughout history who wanted to control their people, but I don’t think we should give up on it.

Working (and Living) from the Heart

Credit: Pinterest.com

By Wes Annac, Culture of Awareness

I don’t know how other people write, and I don’t know all of the rules that come with writing. I’m sure everyone has a different style and writes about different things, and while I repost a lot of articles from other people, I don’t always pay attention to how they express themselves.

When it comes to writing, I only know two things: I want to write about the spiritual journey, and I want to write from the heart. Nothing else is as important to me, and no matter what I say, I want to say it with love.

When I run out of things to say, I want to sit in heart-centered silence until something new comes up. When I don’t think my work is good enough or I could’ve expressed myself more clearly, I want to stay rooted in love and continue to work patiently, knowing that it will get better.

When I’m confronted by some monumental creative challenge, I want to calmly disassemble it and emerge triumphant. I don’t want writing to become something that’s dull, uninteresting or centered purely in the mind, and I want to express a higher perspective whenever possible.
