A cold Canadian high-pressure system brought some of the chilliest air so far this season to the Northeast on Saturday morning.

Record lows were tied or broken in Allentown, Pa. [2] (26 degrees), Buffalo, N.Y. [3] (30 degrees), Burlington, Vt. [4] (26 degrees) Binghamton, N.Y. [5] (26 degrees), Newark, N.J. [6] (34 degrees), Hartford, Conn. [7] (27 degrees) and Bridgeport, Conn. [8] (33 degrees).
