Welcome to Jupiter in Cancer in the Uranus/Pluto age: A personal story [1]

[4]I have just been through a mental and emotional wringer along with a number of  people close to me. It experience felt like an extremely turbulent, choppy sea, with intense complex chaotic currents, very dangerous and volatile. What to do what to do? How to resolve peacefully, without violence?

Over an approximately 18-hour period, we experienced a powerful, continuous, ever-evolving crisis connected to the themes of home, family, security, safety, community, all up for review when the planet Jupiter transits through Cancer. (Jupiter entered Cancer on June 27, and will remain there for one year.)

Though I cannot talk specifics, I can say that we were fortunate in that we also engaged with and were blessed by the powerful healing water grand trine that is now beginning to connect Jupiter to Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. This grand trine will intensify throughout this entire month.

The crisis began on the night of July 4th, when nearby popping firecrackers were so horribly strong they felt like a war zone, and triggered everyone’s PTSD. (Remember, we are all, all of us, war wounded in our own way.)

July 4th through today, July 6th, transit Sun, also in Cancer, lit up the ongoing (2012-2015) Uranus/Pluto square. Thus the extreme and chaotic turbulence. The Egyptian revolutionary coup and riots exemplifies that. As does today’s plane crash in San Francisco.

As Jupiter continues to move through Cancer, it will follow the Sun to engage with the Uranus/Pluto square; and since Jupiter travels much more slowly than the Sun, expect an intensification of the turbulence in our ongoing collective crisis through the end of the summer.

Though the flood of information released by Jupiter in Gemini over this past year will continue, I have a sense that the collective focus is now switching from the brain to the heart, from the mind to the womb, the soul, the tribe, the sense of love, home, family and community that needs to and will regenerate in ourselves and our common life.

This crisis my little tribe went through exemplifies the new position of Jupiter in Cancer. And the resolution to it felt both unexpected and magical. As if the universe opened. As if right in the heart, in the very center point of the extraordinarily complex and chaotic turbulence, a light shone from beneath the watery grand trine, and grew to such intensity that the waters pushed back to open this new space in the heart into being. As if we were birthing the new universe, a universe of love, of love for all of us equally, inclusively, and unreservedly.

Needless to say, I have had no time for blogging.

And tomorrow I shall begin a five day retreat. I may or may not be on the internet. I may or may not blog. This experience has been so powerfully intense and terrifying and ultimately magnificent that I must completely reorganize my entire inner life.

Not to mention rest and recuperate. . .
