Trines, and especially grand trines, are an easy flow of energy. The planets involved are working in harmony. This means they do not push us to take action, but they provide support if we choose to act.

THIS TRINE is much different energy than the Pluto-Uranus square we’ve been working with so much lately. Square aspects create a tension that we cannot ignore, that we must respond to, even if just to find a way to release the stress.

With a trine, without the push from the planets, we can tend to lie back in our hammocks and just enjoy the moment. This, of course, can be as important to our growth and development as charging ahead, especially if we’ve been going through a lot of changes lately.

WE HAVE OPTIONS for how we use this trine influence, all equally valid. We can take this week to find some much-needed relaxation, taking a break from the pressures of life. Or, we can use the grand trine as a springboard for further growth. Either way, the opportunity is one to take advantage of, since these configurations do not come along all that often.

And, knowing that in just a few weeks we will again be working in earnest with the Pluto-Uranus square, it may be that this time is well used in self-nurturing and rejuvenation. That appears to be the option that is getting my vote, at least at this moment!

URANUS changes direction on Wednesday, which means our planet of liberation and rebellion is especially strong this week. If you are currently working with a personal transit from Uranus, this may be the time when you finally make a breakthrough, or have the courage to break free from something that has been feeling restrictive or inauthentic.

For all of us, restlessness is increased, especially when it comes to those things we “have” to do, rather than “want” to do. All things considered, between the influences of the grand trine and Uranus, it would be a very good week to go on vacation.

ON THE OTHER HAND, we also have the signpost that reads, “Don’t miss this opportunity!” If we are interested in emotional and spiritual growth, expanding our sphere of influence, and bringing a vision into form, this week offers potentials like few others.

There are four planets involved in our grand trine — Neptune in Pisces, Saturn in Scorpio, and Jupiter and Mars in Cancer — and each brings its gifts for us to utilize. Neptune increases our creative and spiritual vision; Saturn supplies discipline, practicality and focus; Jupiter provides optimism, inspiration and enthusiasm; and Mars brings courage and confidence.

And all of these planets are working together in harmony, providing significant support for our forward motion and greater comprehension of universal truths, if we choose to take advantage.

Whether we decide to take long naps or spend extra time in meditation and creative endeavors this week, may we each find great reward through these planetary energies, in both seen and unseen ways…
