Good news if you’re a shark! Or if you’re someone who cares about sharks at all. WildAid, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the demand for wildlife products says that the shark fin market in China has been steadily declining for the last two decades.

Shark fin soup, which sounds pretty disgusting honestly, is a delicacy in China, costing as much as $100 a bowl. The practice of harvesting a shark’s fin has led more than one species of shark in the direction of extinction, and some 73 million sharks are killed for their fins every year.
