Dr. Michael Hart of London, Ontario stands out among most physicians in Canada. He’s one of the few who has voiced his support for medical marijuana.

A new program introduced in April allows all Canadian physicians to write cannabis recommendations for patients who they think would benefit from the drug. Dr. Hart, among a handful of other physicians, have set up practices based on the treatment. Many physician groups are pushing back against the new rules. Additionally, the Canadian Medical Association [3] and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada [4] are warning doctors against prescribing cannabis.
