Video – THC, tetrahydrocannabinol, was first discovered in 1964 in Raphael Mechoulam [2]‘s lab in Israel. This was about the same time that the Beetles were first being exposed to cannabis themselves. This is the chemical responsible for the psychoactive effects of marijuana.

But it turns out that THC is not alone. Cannabis is packed with cannabidiol compounds, CBDs, similar to THC but just a little bit different. These compounds have have antiseizure properties, pain relieving properties, anticancer properties, and much more.
