The floating Water Nest is a solar-powered ecofriendly home that is nearly 100% recyclable [1]

Giancarlo Zema, an Italian architect has come up with a floating eco-friendly solar powered home by the name of the Water Nest  100. [2]

The home is a floating habitat, constructed of 98% recyclable material and is built to exist on a large or small body of calm water.

On top of the building, lies a 60-square-meter photo-voltaic array capable of generating 4 kWp.  Balconies wrap around parts, as well as giant windows, and the body is made from constructed from recycled glued, laminated timber with a recycled aluminum hull.

Inside the 1,000 sq ft building, measuring 12 meters across and 4 meters high, is a sleek living space with a “sophisticated system of internal natural micro-ventilation and air conditioning.”
