The Morning~ Afternoon Blessing

I’m always amazed at what each of us is able to be and to become. We are given many options is this lifetime. We can follow and pay homage to our will – our desires, whims, fantasies, dramas, and limitations – or we can let go, let God, release, and surrender into the arms of the divine will.

Unfortunately many of us will never do this because most of us are trapped in the tight little cage of our wounded ego-dramas, which stop us from ever being able to really step into the potential of our ever-changing, always growing evolutionary selves. But our souls are always trying to guide us back there. The pain of being disconnected has us live a soulless, lonely existence.

 

Often it’s only after great emotional pain, heartache, and loss that we will throw up our arms, let go of our ego’s will, and hand our lives over to the care of God. We say, “You do it because I can’t!” We scream, “Show me. Tell me how. Now I am ready to listen.” And it is in this moment that we open up to and tune into Channel WGOD – the station that only plays music of the heart and songs of the Greater Good for Humanity. When we know that we are not the one in control and that there is a higher energy that orchestrates this great big beautiful planet, we adjust our inner radios to the Collective Heart, and we humbly ask to be led, to be guided, to be shown…

 

We acknowledge that things happen in God’s time, not our own. And we take one step at a time forward, even when we don’t know where it is leading us.

 

This is what I see every day. Ordinary people, sometimes lost and alone, come to me having read a book, listened to a radio show, watched a TV interview, read a newsletter. They come to me with their arms in the air saying, “Okay, I’m ready. I am ready to see what’s next. I am ready to stop doing the ‘same old, same, old’. I am ready to reinvent my life and live a future that at this moment I can’t even imagine.” And what they are really saying, even if they don’t know it, is this: “I am willing to now be used for the good of the whole rather than be the lead actor in a small town show that no one is ever going to know about.”

 

On this last day of the “heart” month, I send all of you my love and gratitude, and I pray that you find the humility to surrender and hear God’s whispers. Gift yourself for all that you have done, all that you have endured, and all that you have contributed by allowing yourself to be divinely guided by the One that has the power to deliver you a life beyond your wildest dreams.

 

BLESSING:

The Power that created me is always perfectly pleased with me, and that

is enough. My only quest is to live life from the heart’s directive and be

pleased with myself. Anyone else’s opinion of me is none of my business.

Being pleased with myself does not mean I look perfect to the outer world.

It does mean that I always behave to the best of my spiritual understanding.

If I want to create something better in my life, I simply improve my level of

understanding of how life works, then act on my new and greater awareness.

I possess a quiet strength and replenishment of authentic Spirit for the

investment of attention to Self. I recognize the miracle of everyday heart-open

living, and explore trusting the Intelligence that created and sustains this

miracle constantly.

I take note of whatever I’ve been living and resolve to allow the artistry of

Creation to come to me. I trade desire for the feeling of desire fulfilled, and

open my hands not to get, but to give thanks. Reverently I follow my heart

and mind to find my greater good always. And so it is.
