Dear Jennifer:  I have been very supportive of someone in my life who has an addiction. I care for him and have compassion for his journey. He asks to be loved unconditionally and I’ve attempted to do that and be supportive of him however it does take its toll on me. I have difficulty with the balance of recognizing that he is a grand creator on an incredible journey (as we all are) and my compassion for the human being that suffers when he is homeless, hungry, alone, and contemplating ending his life which of course is the result of his own choices and creation.

I know that my own boundary issues are definitely at play here but I can’t get clarity on the issue. What can I do to show him I am supportive without getting so involved in his stuff?

HJ: The irony of forgiveness is that it is often times easier to forgive someone else than it is to forgive yourself. However, as the Huna see it, everyone is simply an extension or aspect of yourself and so in forgiving others, we are also forgiving ourselves as well. And vice versa — by working on ourselves, we are also healing the world around us. It is an advanced spiritual concept, for sure, but one that you are encouraged to ponder and explore, for it is profoundly powerful and has massive implications for healing the self.

Western Wildfires

FRESNO, Calif. -- A wildfire outside Yosemite National Park - one of more than 50 major brush blazes burning across the western U.S. - raged beyond the control of firefighters, but several days after it started it there has been minimal property damage and only voluntary evacuations.

The blaze in Stanislaus National Forest west of Yosemite grew to more than 25 square miles and was only 5 percent contained Wednesday, threatening some 2,500 homes, hotels and camp buildings.

Alright. We have quite a lot going on this week. Probably most significant is the Grand Cross. So we have a number of occurrences which really are kind of calling you into a Divine Focus and you might find that it is difficult for you to hold your attention right now or stay focused on a project without leaving it and coming back and that sort of thing. So there is a sense of scatteredness here.
The sky is saying that there are significant changes and that in order to stay “Present. Here. Now.” in this physical existence one must flow with those changes.

We still have Uranus in our three year window, 2012 – 2015, that is like a yoyo constantly changing the plan. And then we have a number of things happening with Venus, we have the solar influences, the solar storms but the magnetic disturbances are the most significant in how it can scatter the body and scramble the mind.

There is literally a compass in the brain that knows North and South and East and West, and it is often getting scrambled now.

So this Present Moment is pretty much your practice and if you want to look up a little bit more on that Grand Cross, it is quite potent. That one I think will have an effect upon many lightworkers especially.

Volcanoes Today, 22 Aug 2013: Kizimen, Karymsky, Shiveluch, Poas

Kizimen (Kamchatka): The lava dome continues to grow at the top of the volcano and produce incandescent rockfalls and small pyroclastic flows, generating ash plumes. A new prominent spine is being extruded at the top and visible on the webcam. The following time-lapse movies show this activity during the day and night:

Karymsky (Kamchatka): Activity has remained elevated. A series of ash emissions caused by moderately strong vulcanian-type explosions occurred over the past days. This morning, an ash plume rose to 8,000 ft (2.4 km) altitude and drifted east.

Shiveluch (Kamchatka): The volcano continues to extrude a new lobe of viscous lava (visible as the dark patch in the webcam image) at the lava dome, as well as produce occasional (usually small) ash explosions.

Poas (Costa Rica): A series of small phreatic eruptions occurred on 20 August at the crater lake. The first occurred at 09:55 (local time), ejecting mud and water to 2-3 m height, and a second one, more powerful, at 11:16 reached heights of 10-20 m.

Jin Lee | Bloomberg | Getty ImagesTraders waited nervously Thursday for the Nasdaq to begin trading after a two-hour shutdown Thursday. The exchange said partial trading would resume at approximately 2:45, and be completely back online at 3:10.

Dozens of publicly traded companies, including high-profile companies such as Apple (AAPL), Microsoft (MSFT) and Facebook (FB), were showing their shares halted. The Nasdaq status message was time stamped at 12:14:03 ET. As of 2:10, the exchange was still down.
