Thanks to Lori, my day here at Yaks (where else) started with a thrill. Apparently she is a KP blog reader and lives somewhere south of here, but comes up often to Shasta for events and things. A treat to meet her and share stuff (“stuff”, “things”, those are spiritual technical terms that you must be at a very high level to understand).

A couple days ago, I was another journey, a walking one. Walking down the local road (by Emerald Springs), felt drawn. Walking by tall pines, cedars, local houses, farms, I ended up at a place, an open area with more tall pines. One of them called to me, for a hug, which I did. Received a grand energy uplift from that.

I was floating on the way back to the house, enwrapped in the joy of BEing here.

Study Reveals E-Cigarettes Contain Formaldehyde and Produce Toxic Secondhand “Smoke”

The trendy e-cig may not be as “safe” as originally thought. A new study shows that they contain volatile organic compounds, acetone, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, benzopyrene as well as silicate and various metal particles. The German Cancer Research Center, Heildelberg calls the e-cigarette, “An uncontrolled experiment with Consumers.”

Electronic cigarettes are not emission-free. E-cigarettes contain volatile organic substances, including propylene glycol, flavors and nicotine, and are emitted as mist or aerosol into indoor air. Study showed that these ultrafine liquid particles of less than 2.5 micrometer in diameter may penetrate deeply into the lungs. Study further showed that these e-cigarettes produce substantially fewer ultrafine particles than conventional cigarettes, however, the substances emitted by e-cigarettes may be inhaled by non-users when used indoor. Second-hand exposure to e-cigarette emission which may lead to adverse health effects cannot be excluded says the German Cancer Research Center, Heildelberg.

Nicarauga’s Telica volcano shaken by new earthquake swarm

June 28, 2013 – NICARAUGA - A new earthquake swarm started this morning, visible on INETER’s seismograms. Telica has six cones, the tallest of which is 1061 meters high. There is a double crater at the top, 700 meters wide and 120 meters deep. Telica has erupted frequently since the Spanish Era. The most recent eruption was in 2011. In terms of explosive force, Telica’s largest eruption has been rated with a VEI of 4. That eruption occurred in 1529. One of Nicaragua’s most active volcanoes, Telica has erupted frequently, and ash from those frequent eruptions keeps the slopes of its cone bare of vegetation. –Volcano Discovery, Wikipedia

Oh, my goodness! Just when I thought lawsuits and “authority” couldn’t get any more ridiculous!

Between the Vernon Hershberger raw milk co-op “trial” outlawing discussion of “co-ops” and “raw milk” and the “trial” of a California man facing 13 years in prison for scribbling messages on the sidewalk in chalk outside a Bank of America (where the judge ruled against any mention of the First Amendment or free speech in the trial), I thought I’d seen it all, but no!

May the faeries, devas, Nature Spirits and Community bless this man and giggle and pinch the fuddy duddy control freaks out of their sterile, no-nonsense attempts to suck the life out of Life. Word to the Powers that (Want to) Be: “You will never suck all the life out of Life. You will never remove every last shred of beauty or human decency from this plant, so why don’t you just do us all a favor and stop trying? There’s a whole, gorgeous world out there, waiting for us to engage it in positive, loving ways. If you can’t join us, then at least watch and learn. My God/dess, is pixie dust on back order or what????

Here’s something I never thought we’d hear in this lifetime:

We suspect that the benefits to heart health of sunlight will outweigh the risk of skin cancer.

A lot of us are secretly, boldly basking for reasons like vitamin D, mood enhancement, happiness, skin issues, liver health, pain and more. Now there’s never a reason to fear harm or feel guilty – you could save your heart – and prevent an untimely death!

The espoused fear for about 50 years has been skin cancer rates (which continue to rise), but researchers are finally surmising that years of hiding from the sun could lead to increased heart attacks – a much sooner demise than the risk of skin cancer in later years. Sunlight does so much more than vitamin D production.

A recent landmark study could turn the modern thought on sun exposure right on its head…

Many of you stopped following that some time ago anyway. Look for the changing attitudes of those in your own communities. Look even at the opportunities being brought forward by those courageous enough to challenge the long prevailing attitudes which you want changed.

In the short run, not every one of these changes may manifest. In the long run, dear hearts, they all will. It all serves to awaken those who hear of it just that much more.
