MUMBAI // Millions of people in western India are suffering their worst drought in more than four decades, with critics blaming official ineptitude and corruption for exacerbating the natural water shortage.

Central areas of Maharashtra state, of which Mumbai is the capital, are facing a water shortage worse than the severe drought in 1972, the state's chief minister Prithviraj Chavan said.

Strong Earthquake Sways Buildings in Taiwan

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- A strong earthquake has been felt throughout Taiwan, but no casualties or damage has been reported yet.The Central Weather Bureau says the quake Thursday registered at magnitude 5.6.

The tremor struck about 23 miles (37 kilometers) north of Hualien city and it swayed buildings in the capital, Taipei. Hualien is about 110 miles (180 kilometers) southeast of Taipei.

Snow hit the central and northern Rockies on Sunday, March 3, and spread into North Dakota by Monday, March 4. By Tuesday, March 5, the most significant snows had shifted into the Upper Mississippi Valley and the Great Lakes region. On March 6, snow took aim on the Appalachians and areas to the west of Washington, D.C.  Now, Saturn's snow is blanketing parts of New England and the Northeast.

The world is still in a state of turmoil, but we see all progressing as intended to bring about the results that are required to move you firmly onto the path of the New Age. The old systems and ways of duality are being shown up for what they are, having been a means of keeping you under control. They must be removed, or changed if any part of them are going to be able to remain in the higher vibrations. Some of the changes happen quite naturally, but some situations are man made and need extra attention if they are to be broken down. Restoring your sovereignty is one such area, and it needs legal means to change laws that were introduced to take away your rights. It will take time and best attended to when governmental changes have taken place. Much revolves around this change and be assured that the means to achieve it have already been put in place.

You're running out of time to see the Northern Lights during their latest peak.

The Northern Lights, also known as the aurora borealis, take the shape of smoking skies, pinwheels or curtains. They're seen most often near the poles, with prime viewing in late fall, winter, and very early spring.

 

The aurora is caused by solar particles moving in Earth's magnetosphere. NASA explains "when the magnetic fields lines reconnect in an area known as the magnetotail, energy is released and it sends the particles down onto Earth's poles." At one point the atoms give off a photon of light, which result in the spectacular colors in the sky.

Weather Outlook for March 7: The strong low pressure system will work its way slowly out to sea today. However, the Northeast will be dealing with the winds, storm surge and also the rain and some heavy snowfall are all possible in the region. High pressure over the Southeast will keep the region dry. The new storm system will begin to push into the Southwest today bringing showers to the region. A few showers and higher elevation snows linger over the Pacific Northwest. Much like the raging water in the picture I chose today, change is arriving abruptly, and we best center ourselves and be prepared. I sense an ending soon to all we have known in our lives and the start of great unrest and lack of security for many who are unable to go with the flow of what is occurring. It surely doesn’t take a rocket scientist to tell us the people’s toleration is coming to a fiery end. Sequester? What are they trying to push over on the people now? It is the hard- working people who are being slammed yet again for a disaster created and manipulated by the dark forces trying to bring down this country. This financial mayhem was not brought about by the people, we were not the ones looting the banks, rigging mortgages and carelessly throwing away money.
