Lokon volcano (Sulawesi, Indonesia): new ash explosion with plume reaching 3 km height

Another ash explosion occurred at 12:10 local time today, followed by a smaller one at 12:41 and 13:16 local time.
The first explosion was relatively violent and produced a plume rising approx. 3000 m visible from Manado city 15 km to the north and the explosion sound caused people in nearby Tomohon to run out on the streets.
The following 2 explosions were much smaller and produced plumes only a few 100 m in height. Volcanologists stationed in Kakaskasen said that volcanic tremor was recorded almost continuously.

December 11, 2012 – INDONESIA - A magnitude 7.3 (7.1 USGS) earthquake in the Banda Sea off Indonesia has been felt more than 600 kilometers away in Darwin. Geoscience Australia says there could be more aftershocks from the quake that shook the Top End of the Northern Territory overnight. Tremors were felt in Darwin and Katherine at about 2:30 am local time and were the strongest in the north for about 20 years.

What a ride, huh? We're getting to the wire, Dec. 12th and Dec. 21st just days away now.
For those of you who are still stressing and feeling depressed, I hope that my lesson concerning a doomed relationship with nowhere to go will help those of you who may be in a similar situation.
As many of you know here at Galactic Free Press, I was headed for Arkansas's Pinnacle Mountain for the 11-11-12 energies. I never made it there. As a matter of fact, I didn't even get out of Georgia! Instead, I met a new friend with whom I stayed with for about a week or so. After leaving there, guess where i ended up? Home again! Back to the place I've tried to get away from so many times. I went into deep depression. So, I did some deep soul searching and asked for guidance. I asked Jesus to help me leave this unloving home and what I got was a very valuable lesson. He said I would meet someone. A couple of days later I met a man with a spare bedroom, but was really no different than the man I lived with. That made me realize that it didn't matter where I was or who I needed to be with for the time of my awakening, I just needed to "BE". BE without restrictions or distractions. All that was required of me was to BE in peace, and feel the Love being beamed to me.

Even more reason we should feel gratitude for having been chosen for this mission to bring the light back into the darkness. But we do so in order to remind you all that this is a day for rejoicing and for taking stock of just how far you have come. For your footsteps linger still, and they cover much ground, and for that, you need to give yourselves all the credit you deserve. For you have indeed come a long way. Far, far longer than you mayhaps can even envisage, and we say this today in order to make you all take a pause and connect with your past in some way. For your past is what has brought you here, and your past is what has made your future possible. For tomorrow, your future will begin in earnest, so today, give yourself some applause for what you have managed to accomplish in your sojourn here on this planet.
Reflecting on Catalysts As We Reach the 12-12
I’ve been able to find some quiet and deep moments of meditation and contemplation and I have to say, allowing one’s head to clear and all worries and frustrations to melt away will truly do wonders for one’s perspective. All of the densities that we experience and all of the lower emotions we feed as a result of such density, are bred as well from a detachment from Source within ourselves and while I’m beginning to become open to this concept, the reality of it has just hit me on this amazingly-energetic night.
The past few days in this area have reflected a perspective within me that I’m beginning to transmute; gloominess. While it was warm and sunny here for a time, the dry bleakness of a snowless winter has made itself known and the temperature outside reflected the coldness within that simply needed acknowledged so that it could be properly released.

A monkey who caused a stir by appearing in a Toronto Ikea store wearing a sheepskin coat and a nappy has been sent to a primate sanctuary.
Five-month-old Darwin was transferred to Story Book Farm Primate Sanctuary in Sunderland, Ontario, after spending the night in a city animal shelter.
Pictures of the bundled-up rhesus macaque were spread around the world by social media.

Europe's biggest bank, HSBC, will pay $1.92bn to settle a money-laundering probe by authorities in the United States, the bank has confirmed.
The probe of the British bank has focused on the transfer of billions of dollars on behalf of nations like Iran, which are under international sanctions, and the transfer of money through the US financial system from Mexican drug cartels.
HSBC admitted to a breakdown of controls and apologised in a statement announcing it had reached a deferred-prosecution agreement with the US Department of Justice.

World's Oldest Trees Dying At Alarming Rate: Study (VIDEO)

According to a disturbing new report, the world's oldest and largest trees may be dying off -- and fast.
The study determined that trees between 100 and 300 years old are perishing "en masse" because of a deadly combination of large destructive events like forest fires, and other, more incremental factors like drought, high temperatures, logging and insect attack. The steady increase in threats means old trees are dying at 10 times their normal rate, researchers concluded. Their study appears in the Dec. 7 issue of the journal Science.

Rome, December 10 - Southern and central Italy was in the grip of sub-zero temperatures and snowstorms Monday which caused schools and courts to close as well as forcing the evacuation of a hotel in Sicily. During the night, temperatures in parts of Italy's central regions went well below freezing, dropping as low as -9 in the Gran Sasso natural park in the Abruzzo region, and heavy snow fell on towns including earthquake-stricken Aquila.

Behind 30 hours of fog: warm air moving over cold ground, “advection fog”

D.C.’s historic monuments are barely visible from less than a mile away at 11 a.m. Monday (National Park Service)
Since Saturday night, widespread fog has covered large parts of the Washington, D.C. metro region. The explanation is pretty simple: the ground has been relatively cold compared to the air trying to sneak in from the south.
We’ve had a prolonged episode of what’s known as “advection fog”. It’s caused by “the horizontal movement of warm moist air over a cold surface” says the National Weather Service. Note: advection sounds like a fancy word, but it really just means moving air.

What a wild and wacky day was yesterday. I have a feeling tho, we are all going to be able to start a new day with that same sentiment for the day prior, only bigger and wilder each coming day thru December. But I have to admit, in my world, it sure was one of those days for the record books. Starting with the blog, how on earth did I miss sharing so much important information? No matter how short or long the time I have is to write once I get up in the morning, I can get all the important info out… I missed half of it yesterday. Geez!! I will make up for it today! (smile)
And then my 8am never showed up for her appointment, neither did my 9:15! I actually found myself checking several different calendars to make sure it really is the 10th and I am on the correct calendar day for readings. Thru the waiting, my computer completely crashed… twice. I couldn’t keep google chrome (my web browser) open for longer than 2 minutes it would repeatedly crash. Then (not surprising) my internet crashed over and over… I could so feel the winds of weirdness blowing in from every direction. What the hell is this all about?

America's broken healthcare system drove one cancer patient to break the law last month.
Frank J. Morrocco, 57, who had previously spent 20 years behind bars, claims that he intentionally shoplifted so that he could go back to prison and receive healthcare, the Buffalo News reports. Suffering from a rare form of leukemia, Morrocco said he had no other way to gain access to the expensive treatment that he needs.
On Nov. 26, Morrocco stole about $23 worth of items from a Wegmans in Amherst, N.Y., making sure the act was obvious to both store employees and customers. He was arrested and later charged for shoplifting and violating his parole.
