Big Story Weather from April 2: The first big story from yesterday was the severe weather that broke out over Texas in the late night hours with many places seeing very large hail. The second big story was the colder weather that has settled back in over the Northern Plains and Great Lakes associated with another cold high pressure center. The third story was the heavy rainfall along the Gulf Coast.

Big Story Weather Discussion for April 3: High pressure over the Great Lakes will bring a cool but nice day to the region. This weather will extend into the East Coast. A strong low pressure system has pushed into the Northern Gulf of Mexico bringing with it a lot of rain for the Northern Gulf Coast region. Many places are forecasted to get over 2 inches of rainfall. High pressure out west will keep the region dry and mild.
