Steven Robert "Steve" Alten is best known for his Meg series, a set of novels around the fictitious survival of the megalodon, a giant prehistoric shark. In his book "Phobos" part of his Mayan Doomsday Prophesy series he credits Dr. Greer and acknowledges the amazing work done by Dr. Greer at the 2001 National Press Conference.
