Rossi was hauled thru the Italian courts in the early ninties for scamming an oil recycling technology - the oil just sat in his factory and rotted.
This e-cat thingy has never been independantly tested. He has been found to be putting in more energy into the machine than he claims. The copper by product was also tested by a chemical engineer and found to be mined copper and not copper as a by product of cold fusion.
You need to do more thorough research Jazz.
