~How Do We Bring Quantum Activism into Our Daily Life? Part 2~2~
In Part 1 (http://stevebeckow.com/2011/05/how-do-we-bring-quantum-activism-into-our-daily-life-part-12/), we noted that author and quantum physicist Amit Goswami identifies the importance of accessing our unique creative impulse, and that when we can create from this dynamic realm of all possibilities, we will find ourselves on the front edge of transforming both ourselves and our society. Changing civilization for the better means aligning our intention with ‘nonlocal consciousness’ (the quantum field) and, at the same time, intending the highest good for all.
Get Ready for the Ride of Your Life!
The quantum thinking Goswami calls for is one that allows us to break out of old bad habits and entrenched thinking. It’s about standing in a different place and looking at the same picture from a different perspective or point of view. Perspective changes everything. And when that perspective is a creative link to the Source Field, well, hold on to your hats, or whatever you’re wearing these days. Because you’re about to start surfing a quantum wave that will have even The Incredibles looking like yesterday’s news.
Are you willing to be a ‘wayshower’ of a new way to relate to your fellow humans? Are you willing to work the ‘front edge’ and lead the way into a world that works for everyone? Are you willing to take the risk to ‘outpicture’ the quantum values that are now lighting up your inner sense of purpose? Do you ‘dare to be different’ and to get involved in creating new forms of how our society can be put together? Can you embrace the standard that “nobody gets left behind” – nobody — that we’re all in this together? And when someone shouts, “Is there a Quantum Activist in the house?!!” Are you willing to stand up and leap into service?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any one or all of the above, then Welcome to a New World! and Thank You! because your quantum consciousness is even now creating it moment by moment, photon by photon, leaping and popping all of us into higher awareness.
Ways to Practice Quantum Activism
In Part 1 of this article, I suggested 14 ways to jumpstart our Quantum Activism, here are the remaining 8 suggestions:
7. If you’re an artist, painter, musician, sculptor, actor, photographer or director, create works that reflect your quantum consciousness. You’re not only expressing an inner imperative that feeds your own soul, you’re touching others with the dynamism of your vision. Rent space and hold a viewing. Write a one-act play on quantum living or the Shift. Hold a free concert of music you’ve composed. Design a website or a facebook page displaying your transformative art.
8. Volunteer. Get involved in mentoring programs; teach life skills, working skills, business skills to the young, underserved, and those entering or re-entering the workforce. Do you have entrepreneurial skills? Why not share them with people eager to learn, who want to start their own businesses, and need guidance and a knowledgeable mentor to guide them along. Do you have a few hours available to teach in literacy programs? How about volunteering to work at a homeless shelter, record books for the blind, run errands for a home-bound elderly neighbor, or offer to cut her grass or weed the garden? Visit someone in a nursing home or an Alzheimer’s patient, read to them or just hold their hand. You are communicating love and light to someone who may have no visitors. You may be their only angel.
9. Explore natural, quantum and energy-based medicines, and if you’ve never been to an alternative-, energy-, or natural healing therapist or holistic physician, try it! You may very well like it. And while you’re at it, get a massage from a licensed, professional massage therapist. There’s nothing like a 60-minute massage to restore body, mind, and spirit; re-center and “re-peace-ify’ oneself. Or, learn an energy healing modality. Explore your energy field and learn how to interact with it. Wean yourself off dependence on the drug-based pharm-medical industry. Take control back for your well-being.
10. Bank at local banks and credit unions. Take your money out of the Big Six. Support your community banks. If you have the money to invest, invest it in companies and initiatives that support people, the environment, and sustainability. There are many resources for responsible investment.
11. Get involved in the political process, either on a local, state or national level. For now, it’s still the way that major aspects of society are structured. It is all changing, no doubt, but it is our participation which will help shape the New and develop it into something that works for us all. And if you’re so inclined, run for office. Become an elected official. Bring your quantum vision into the political process, from the inside out. Or, if you’re not inclined to run for office, volunteer in one of thousands of organizations that match your political and civic interests. Many of these organizations depend on volunteers to keep them going. Choose the area of your interest, explore a few organizations, then get involved. Bring your quantum activism to the political process!
12. Change to a plant-based diet. No preaching here, there’s enough information out there at your fingertips: websites, books, magazine articles, forums, groups, chat rooms. The more “light-based” foods we consume, the more balanced and healthy we are and feel. There are SO many benefits to moving from an animal-based diet to a plant-based diet, that a quick google search will provide you thousands of information points. And if you have a yard, why not start a vegetable and herb garden? Buy certified non-GMO seeds, involve your children in helping with the garden, provide your family healthy produce at the tip of your fingers, and save some money on your grocery bill. If you live in an apartment or condo, you can now buy small herb and vegetable garden kits that fit on your balconies or terrace.
13. Practice an inner technology, e.g. meditation, deep breathing, EFT, HeartMath techniques, yoga, t’ai chi, or qi gong. As we clear out the blocks, stuck places and toxic zones in our physical and energy bodies, and access our energy and light bodies, we experience the centering and empowerment to step out of our routines and comfort zones, and offer our quantum activism to the world. What often keeps us from reaching out is our lack of energy and drive. Circulate energy in your physical and etheric bodies, and you’ll FEEL like moving and getting involved.
14. Make your connection with Source your top priority. Our connection with Source IS the key. We’re all naturally connected to Source. Our connection to Source comes before religion, spirituality, philosophy or whatever construct we choose embrace or ‘believe’ in. Connection to Source is, simply, our natural state. During these ‘shift’ times, many of us are rediscovering our connection to Source. Let me repeat that: we’re re-discovering something that’s always been there, something we’ve always had, someone we’ve always been. We never really were dis-connected. As the veils come off, the limiting thought constructs fall away . . . our eyes are opened to the One-ness of life. As we ‘wake up’, we realize more and more that we ‘live, move, and have our being’ in and through the One Source Field. Better yet, we can learn how to communicate with the Source Field so that our life begins to flow with an ease and playfulness. The push-pull polarities start to recede and we will find that our quantum activism gives way to a quantum life.
Well, this has been a fast train ride through some ways to “get our quantum in gear” and bring our quantum activism into daily life. We can sit back and wait for Change to happen, or we can be the ‘quantum corps’ that IS the very change we seek. Start small. Choose one item from the menu and do it well, or choose a few. Suggestion: try the one that’s most challenging. Or the most fearful. It may, in fact, be where your true strength — your ‘life’s purpose’ — has been waiting to be discovered. And who knows? You may just hear ‘the song of your Soul’. And that Song, my dear fellow traveler, will be your best and most beautiful contribution in creating our New World.
I slept and dreamt that life was joy.
I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and behold, service was joy.
–Rabindranath Tagore
