Larry Larson – Twelve – Twelve Spirit Journal – Staying Centered – 9 September 2012
When you allow your intentions to overcome your resistances, that is, when you allow your desired state to be stronger than your state of resistance, that’s when you will see results and shifting in your field of direct experience. You are responsible for both of these states and you control the amount of energy that flows to each of them.
Your external states do not demand that you flow any energy to them at all, you see. You could just sit there and choose not to respond at all. Sometimes you do. It’s when you begin crafting your responses, rather than just having them reactively, that you get some control over what comes next.
Haven’t you discovered that when someone else jerks your chain that they have controlled you? They got you angry, or sad, or upset or disgusted…somehow eliciting from you thoughts that will not serve you well.
This is why you need the practice of centering, and if meditation will teach you centering then it is a good practice. But there are other practices by which you can learn to center and really take control of yourself before you respond to anything. Staying centered is more important than your response. Staying centered is more important than your response. Yet most of you want to jump right in and react…and now the universe is leading you around with a chain rather than vice-versa, as it should be.
Think about it. Why should anyone ever be able to yank your chain, if you are the one with the power of the universe at your fingertips? Reacting as a response is an outplay of your belief in your own lack of power. You simply have to choose to step back and use this power, rather than pretend you don’t have it.
Practice finding your center every day. Start your day with centering and end it with centering and meditation. Let go of your need to react to anything. You always have time to refocus. You always have time to decide what you do want, and put your attention on this, instead of on that thing that got your goat. You have control over the way energy flows into your experience, but you must exercise this privilege routinely so you have the skills at hand when you need them.
Namaste,
~Twelve.

Love
Love is the strongest emotion and vibrates so highly.
When You have suffered abuse, physical mental or emotional personally, there are two choices. To repeat this to another, which continues the energy cycle of Push/Pull. Or you can literally absorb it with Love.
I find it helps even when you are being bombarded with negative emotions, think and feel before you react. Remember a time that another attacked you - and keep remembering that emotion, of pain. How it made you feel, Did you like it? The answer usually is No ...before it made you react in anger, most likely it would have been you feel hurt. A hurting heart can produce compassion. This is an energy of love. If this is not allowed, and one reacts in anger from ego then the cycle continues I find......
Unconditional love is offered by source, to any words thoughts deeds whether intentional or not, as sometimes , when we are being bombarded with negative emotions, we may loose control and indeed react.
React in Love As God does!
I travelled off into Jesus land the other night, and wrote automatically about how Jesus reacted in rage to the money changes, and this indeed was not good somehow......not because of the reason of the anger, but that a child of God, produced the huge emotion of hate. To my mind, that woud only feed the negative emotions?
Furthermore, I screamed at a fellow human the other day, from frustration, and yet I cried my eyes out later, for such emotion present in me.
Whatever is happening, if we can be in love, speak love, do love , give love, then we are as one with God.
