First Quarter Moon Phase
The symbol for the degree of the position of the Sun today (the Sabian symbol) is " a woman sprinkling flowers." This is quite fitting for "Beltane Eve." Beltane is the ancient celebration of spring and fertility, which later became May Day. It is directly associated with flowers. Flowers are external evidence of internal beauty. They are a creative manifestation of the dreaming of Gaia. So today's energy is about spreading your internal beauty out into the world. Consciously look for flowers today and when you see one, reinforce your connection with the planet. The planet is a sentient being and we are sentient beings of her creation, gifted with the opportunity to participate in her journey.
As she undergoes a critical stage in her journey, the only way we can remain sane is to connect and "ground" ourselves in the planet. Today she takes special notice of those whose psyches resonate to her own frequency (which is much slower than ours, primarily because we are dissociated from nature and are being tricked into vibrating at the speed of the matrix). Flowers are a reminder for us to slow down. Today is a day for our minds to take a rest. It is a day to nourish the body. The negative expression of today's energy is evidenced by people trying to keep up appearances (the energy is very "visual") and tumultuous emotional reactions to perceived injustices or sleights. Today is a day to loosen up and forget about the matrix. We aren't going to be interested in participating in the constant drive for success and accomplishment that keeps us off center. This is the goddess' energy and her only desire for us is to just be present with her and enjoy the beauty that is all around us.
