~ The Path of Consciousness ~

Many people are looking for greater meaning, purpose and clarity in their lives today through the path of consciousness. They believe that if they were more conscious life would exist at a higher level, and be more joyful and fulfilling. The idea that consciousness embodies a higher state of being is only half of the story because when look for higher truth from consciousness, it becomes a means of escaping ourselves. Because we build a link from consciousness to spiritual wholeness, we deny who we are and what we have created, we think that we could do better, be more, or experience life in a more fulfilling way if we could be ‘more’ conscious. This creates a mindset where we think that the answers we are looking for are somewhere outside of ourselves, even within the path of consciousness. We believe that conscious beings (or conscious human beings) don’t commit murder, steal, hate and discriminate. We think that we because those things exist we live in an unconscious world and that is not true.
Everyone is conscious because at its most basic level, being conscious implies that we are breathing, a basic life requirement. So to understand the conscious path we have to re-define our impressions, expectations, and beliefs about it. First, there are two kinds of consciousness, awareness and enlightenment. With awareness we know that there is a different path available to us, a different way of thinking or being, we just have not made the connection between awareness and vibration because while we are always conscious and aware of something, what can be aware of depends on our energetic vibration.
There is also a connection between what we are aware of and the actions we take. Awareness begins with a glimmer of clarity, a message from our soul that it is time for us to consider a different life path. But if we have not achieved enlightenment and are not at the energetic level that allows us to make different choices, or do not have the courage or presence to take a step in that direction, our awareness may lead us down the path of depression and hopelessness because we can’t make the connections into higher levels of consciousness to take action in light of what we see as the glaring truth of our life. Conscious awareness, without spiritual understanding, is simply seeing an unvarnished truth and stepping into self judgment.
Enlightenment moves our consciousness into new levels of being, allowing us to relinquish our former ways of thinking, believing and action into new levels. Enlightenment often arrives in moments of great despair and powerlessness, when a cherished dream fades away, the support systems we have created disappear, or we have reached the end of a road and realize that we no longer have the energy to continue along that path. It is at these most powerless times that our consciousness can make a shift into enlightenment because we are drawn within, to activate our inner resources and find clarity, purpose and direction from ourselves.
Each person lives at their own level of consciousness, which reflects their level of energetic vibration. No one can be embrace a level of consciousness, or have an awareness of its existence, that is not exactly aligned with their frequency. Have you ever read something that didn’t resonate with you? If you are like me, you can’t get beyond the first few sentences because you can’t absorb the information. At an energetic level, you are not aligned with that information. But at another time, you may go back to it and it makes perfect sense. Or you may also realize that you no longer need that information and it truly doesn’t resonate with you.
The path of consciousness we are on today is one aspect of the many different lifetimes of experimentation in levels of awareness and enlightenment. The fears, hopes, dreams, and desires we know today contain remnants of other lifetimes in which those were either distant and unobtainable possibilities or realities that were once our truth. Our ability to sift through these different levels of awareness allows us to choose our level of consciousness today. We can be rich without being selfish. We can have love without also experiencing betrayal. We can have peace without war. We can have fulfillment without the fear of its loss.
We move from one level of consciousness to another, as we shift our levels of vibration and allow ourselves to embrace our divinity and integrate it into our consciousness. We are always at some level of consciousness, from our basic physical experience and moving into our most expanded levels of divinity. What we are aware of, how we move into enlightenment and how profoundly we embrace consciousness allows us to find the courage to say ‘yes’ to a different future and leave the past behind us. The path of consciousness can lead us to heaven on earth when we use awareness to become enlightenment and use our humanity to become divine.
