Power Path ~ New Moon Update 2012 with Pat Liles

Commentary from Galactic Love Reporter Lena Stevens~

Dear Friends,

The New Moon was at 12:42 AM Mountain Standard Time on Monday January 23 and we are still in its influence. This is a time when depression could hit or you could become overwhelmed with the disruption and destabilization around you. This is a good day to pull your energy in and focus only on the tasks at hand. Don't get distracted by others and their process. You will likely have many things on your plate. They can all wait. Take time for yourself and yourself only even if it is just to watch a bad movie. Stay out of judgment about events and situations, as they are all just temporary. Take a break.

One way to "take a break" is to imagine you are taking yourself out of gear and experiencing just being, with no agenda, and just being neutral. You have been operating like a car in second gear trying to go 100 kilometers per hour in this moving centered time. You will wear the engine out. It is much more efficient to be in a higher gear, however to get there you must first bring yourself to neutral. So in taking a break, visualize yourself at neutral, drop everything, nothing going on, and then decide which gear you need to be in to take advantage of the movement in your life.

Due to solar flares at this time you may experience electromagnetic interference in a very physical/emotional way; irregularities in heart rate, breathing, balance, headaches, mood swings, digestion, energy levels and difficulty with mental focus. This will all pass as you shift into gear again.

Happy Chinese New Year and the Most Auspicious Year of the Water Dragon!

Blessings,

Lena

Sun and Moon in Aquarius, 2º

Monday, January 23, 2012, 12:41 AM MST

The Sun has just moved into Aquarius on Friday, Jan. 20 and we move immediately into a New Moon at 2º triggering an early Chinese New Year on Monday accompanied by Mars going retrograde until April 13. A busy astrological weekend!

So, we leave behind the earth/water influences of Capricorn and Cancer (father and mother) of the last Full Moon cycle of Jan. 9 and enter the fixed power domain of Aquarius/Leo in air and fire signs. Each element, earth, water, air, fire has a power sign, and they are opposite each other forming a continuum. Taurus/Scorpio represent feminine earth/water, and Aquarius/Leo represent masculine air/fire.

Aquarius is the zodiac visionary. It’s symbol, the lightening bolt, comes from the heavens with the power to disrupt unexpectedly. Being of the air element its nature is mental like Mercury-ruled Gemini, but Aquarius is the higher octave of Mercury’s thinking and communication ~ intuitive knowledge is Aquarius’ special gift.

They look into the cosmos for their eccentric and unconventional views. All fixed signs are convinced of very little by others. Aquarian opinions and progressive outlooks come from their personal insight and experience. They know; they don’t need to be convinced. Aquarius is also the revolutionary, rebel and liberator of the zodiac. They are original thinkers, inventive and creative ~ trend setters. Their positive, masculine, yang energy moves them forward, and their ruler Uranus’ purpose is to break up the old, no longer relevant structures and breathe fresh air into them. Progress! Yes, idealistic. Ahead of their time, as their frequency is much above the slower inner planets which also bestows the qualities of detachment and aloofness. Organization abilities are well developed.

Uranus is a transpersonal planet like Neptune and Pluto, discovered late in the game and concerned not with personal consciousness so much as collective consciousness. Aquarius’ house with its Uranian ruler is the eleventh house, concerned with our hopes and dreams, goals and objectives, friendships, and our group associations, a house with social orientation. Aquarians combine the eccentric with the unusual and express the unique. We need their relationship to the quantum, the void, to chaos to energize the mental realms. If not weighed down with social, political revolution as Uranus is now with its ongoing square to Pluto, its focus tends to breakthroughs in the fields of technology, science, sociology, astrology, physics, humanitarian services, exploration of new frontiers and social justice.

Freedom is a major need for the Aquarian. Their brilliant minds want to soar without restriction of any kind. The tendency is to be detached, cool, objective, rational, and future oriented. Often androgynous in appearance - rules the ankles and circulatory system and electrical impulses of the body and are prone to sudden illnesses and just as sudden miraculous cures.

Our New Moon at 2º Aquarius is in the first “decanate” of Aquarius. Each sign has 30º and contains three decanates of 10º each. The first decanate, 0-10º, of any sign is ruled by that sign’s ruling planet - in this case the first decanate (or 10º) of Aquarius is ruled by Uranus. Each of the decanates of a sign will be ruled by that signs element - in this case, air. So if we follow the zodiac along to the next air sign after Aquarius, we have mutable air Gemini, ruled by Mercury. So the second decanate, 11º-20º Aquarius is ruled by Mercury, and the third decanate of Aquarius 21º-30º is ruled by cardinal air sign, Libra’s ruler, Venus. So those Aquarians having their birthdays in the first 10 days/degrees of Aquarius tend to be more Uranian - eccentric, unorthodox, revolutionary; the second decanate types of the middle 10 days of Aquarius display that lightening flash mentality and networking quality of Mercury, and those born in the last 10 days/degrees of Aquarius, Feb. 8-18 or so with that Venus ruler are more social and artistic as a general rule. The decanates add an additional layer of depth to the signs, planets, and houses.

The ruler of the Aquarius New Moon chart, Uranus, is conjunct the dwarf planet Ceres at 1º Aries initiating a new cycle. Ceres, as All Nourishing Mother connects us to the deep cycles of life symbolized by the life-giving grains. Seeds, growth, harvest, death, rebirth are her domain. She was Goddess of the Eleusinian Rites-a drama of loss and return centered upon the capture of her beloved daughter, Persephone by Pluto, God of the Underworld. With a close sextile aspect to the Sun and Moon, this conjunction highlights our ability to nourish and support at the humanitarian level, to see ourselves as evolving together as a planet and emphasizes our need to tangibly honor the life giving, nourishing properties of our living planet Mother Earth. We need to bring and hold at the foreground of our consciousness the relationship of humanity (Uranus) to nature (Ceres) at the initiation of this new cycle.

Saturn and Jupiter in opposition square this Sun-Moon creating a T-Square formation. Saturn in Libra is holding us to the current economic realities and will be retrograding just at Full Moon on Feb. 7 until June 24. Saturn is exalted in Libra and ideally helps us balance our responsibility and wisely use the resources we have keeping fairness and equality in mind while Jupiter in Taurus makes us practical and able to make beneficial changes in our environment and our lives - master that computer program, get involved in a humanitarian foundation that helps people, study astrology or astronomy, go to where you have never gone before. There’s energy for change here.

Mars goes retrograde on Monday, Jan 23rd-Chinese New Year. Mars is a two year cycle and includes a retrograde, so its time in Virgo, usually two months, gets a long extension to eight months (Nov. 2011 to July, 2012). Virgo’s idea of action is to analyze, improve, organize and use their fine sense of discrimination to eliminate the unnecessary. So best use of this Mars is pick the areas of your life that could use some improvement and updating and set a theme for the next six months. Virgo is especially good in the areas of work and health. Any improvement needed in those areas? Watch out for the worry, anxiety and detail overload trap that Virgo can be prone to. Remind yourself you have all the time, energy and resource you need to bring your intention into reality.

Monday, January 23rd is also the beginning of Chinese New Year ~ the Year of the Water Dragon. The dragon is considered misty, occult, noble and untouchable. A male, yang sign of good fortune and intense power. Dragons get their power from heaven, and only the Emperor commanded the elemental dragon. Traditionally also a good year for Rats and Monkeys. Our last water dragon year was 1952. My sources tell me the three power stars present in this year’s Chinese astrology chart are the Star of Aggressive Sword, the Star of the External Flower of Romance and the Star of Powerful Mentors so those influences may be felt in their positive and negative expressions. Gung Hay Fat Choy!
