The Gabriel Messages  January 18 2014

Our current theme for Inspiration for the Week is going back to the basics

The Gabriel Messages book and the companion cards continue to be basic tools for me that are powerfully relevant for these challenging times. We are drawing on the compassionate and timeless wisdom of The Gabriel Messages now to provide insight each week as we move into the New Life that 2014 promises.

For this week’s issue, the card I chose is about finding stability in the changing times in which we live.

The Gabriel Message card for this week

The Inner Spirit working outward in your life is the only place where stability can be found in these changing times.

ShantaGabrielMost people are looking for stability in their lives right now, although it seems upheaval, loss or fear is what they are feeling. When our outer worlds are crumbling, it takes practice and discipline to turn your attention away from the chaos and hectic activity inward so you can breathe into your heart.

For me, I had to spend years in ashrams learning ways to build my inner core of connection to higher frequencies so I had a place within me that was familiar and more beautiful to come home to. Fortunately, 40 years later, it is not as complex as it used to be. The energies of the planet are more purified so we do not need to put ourselves into sanctuaries apart from the world (no matter how enticing that may sound). It has now become more a matter of choice about how we respond and where we focus our attention. However, the background that I had was a blessing that allowed me to create powerful tools for life. Later when Archangel Gabriel contributed lessons about the importance of living in Light, it helped me build a stronger connection to my heart and learn to listen to my intuition.

This summer was a spectacular demonstration of finding my inner gyroscope during a time that felt busier than I had ever experienced. Our time sense of the world continues to speed up, so it is very easy to get caught up in the tumultuous rush of all the great stuff that we are doing. At the end of the summer there were moments when I realized I was breathing in a very shallow manner. Sometimes I was moving so fast I felt like I was breathless.

When we don’t breathe deeply enough, our bodies become robbed of oxygen. The body literally starts to register a sense of anxiety because it knows it will die without oxygen. Have you noticed your solar plexus clutching in a time of stress? If we do not become aware of the need to breathe more deeply and consciously relax, the new frequencies coming to the planet affect our stomachs and cause them to tighten.

We are being pushed by the benevolent Universe to stay more present and be aware of how we are holding our bodies. This is why it is called awakening and being conscious.

Our ongoing theme for this Inspiration for the Week is going back to basics, and this also includes some of the original techniques I was taught in the ashram where I spent time in the late 70s and early 80s. These ancient techniques given by my guru (Dhyanyogi Madhusudandas, a master of the science of sound), set a powerful pattern for me of consistent meditation, creating sacred space for my spiritual practice, hatha yoga, breath work (pranayam) and sacred sound. These different teachings were purposely given to help me in finding my center so I could connect with the Divine. Many of these techniques have become the basis for my spiritual practice, which I intend to do every day. The days I miss do not seem as blessed or magical. Each of those tools has myriad forms which many are learning now, none better than another, but all with the same framework for finding stability within one’s being.

2014 is the most powerful year we have been given so far, and we need to find consistent ways for staying centered and in harmony within ourselves. Passing on the torch for the basic tools I have been using for nearly 40 years seems to be important for me to do right now. I am not talking about learning Sanskrit, but about using time-tested techniques that help your body find a place of centering and your mind a sense of quietness that allows you to hear your heart’s voice of intelligence.

Dear One, You are experiencing your world speeding up. There is even a sense of frantic activity without a sense of accomplishment. You have found yourself searching for meaning in all that you are doing when it does not feel like enough.

The truth is that there is an increase in the energy of the earth’s vibrational field. Because of this, people are experiencing a shift in consciousness that encourages their search for meaning in all that they do. And Universal Consciousness is now more easily available to all who seek than ever before. This increase in energy is also creating great and rapid change in the world around you. Information is more available, tremendous earth changes, such as earthquakes, fires and hurricanes, seem to be occurring with more frequency, and the very fabric of social, political and family life seems to have shifted into unknown areas. All these occurrences are in the world of appearance, the world outside of yourself. They point out the fact that you can no longer look to your outside world to bring you a sense of stability. You must come back to yourself and find that still point of peace, harmony and wisdom within. Within this inner center of balance and stillness is the only place of stability in these changing times.

Within you there is a place of such peace that you can totally relax there and allow it to permeate your being. Within you is found the truth, joy and meaning which you have sought in vain from the world outside yourself. Come now and allow yourself to experience this place within, where you can be free just to be. It is as close as your breath. And it is with your breath, and with the power of your focused thoughts and imagination, that you can begin to experience your Higher Self and your connection to the Divine.

Practice

Take a few deep and centering breaths. Bring your attention to the place just below your naval, and imagine that you have found yourself in a very peaceful garden. You can make this garden the most beautiful place you have ever seen. Create flowing brooks and peaceful ponds, flowers and shady trees.  Make it a place that you will long to come back to again and again. Allow yourself to relax and absorb the peace and beauty of this garden. Give yourself time to meet with your guardian Angel and with your Higher Self to receive all the wisdom, guidance and love that you need.

It may take a little practice to find this peaceful place within yourself, but it won’t be long before, after only a few balanced breaths, you will be able to go there without effort. When you give yourself this time of quiet, you will notice that your outer world will not have the power to pull you away from this still place of peace. This is true stability. It is from this still point within that you will be able to live in this time of change and not feel alone or abandoned. You will be able to connect deeply with the support you need.

Like a wheel whose spokes appear to revolve very quickly, but whose center has quiet movement connecting all the links around it, this revolution of stillness within you will transform your outer world into one of harmony, love and peace.

Remember to ask for this stillness. Ask for the experience of a peaceful garden. Ask for your personal connection to the Source of all life. It all begins with you, with your focus of attention, and with the balanced breath that is your connecting link to the Divine Presence within you. It is all there for if you but give yourself the time to receive and experience your true authentic depth of being..

Remember your message from the Angels today:

The Inner Spirit working outward in your life in the only place where stability can be found in these changing times.
