Spanish doctors and public hospital staff have started a two-day strike in Madrid to protest against government plans for privatization of healthcare services amid the deepening financial crisis.
Few hospital services in the Spanish capital were operating on Monday as crowds of doctors in white coats held demonstrations outside a number of hospitals to express their discontent with the plans to privatize public health services.
