My first attempt at a fashion article - trying out for a job blogging for a Montreal site so just thought I'd share with you beautiful people - after all - part of feeling good is looking good, and we already have the sixties love vibe happening here so all we need is our love beads and some tie dye and we're groovin'!
love and light!

Retro chic is back with a nostalgic return to the 1960's for this summer's hottest looks. "Summer of Love" ethereal flowing bohemian style fabrics and prints promise romance, inspired perhaps by the Occupy movement's grassroots fight-the-establishment message, as the Age of Aquarius is ushered in with style!
Hot accessories are tribal and ethnic-inspired jewellery crafted from polished wood, bone and other nature-inspired materials.
Peace is the message, and love is the answer to a world gone mad, so a return to the hazy crazy days of the '60s perfectly reflects the attitude of this summer's inspiration.
"From very classy to very wild, the 1960s was a historically rich decade for fashion trendsetting. The 1960’s trends were a mirror reflection of the social changes during that decade. Emerging hippie culture and Beatle-mania was taking America by storm and along with this Cultural Revolution women’s fashion was dramatically evolving. Socially women were finally breaking free of restrictive lifestyles and the trends in fashion reflected it - and - it's back!' - Beaumont enterprise articles
Of course not all '60s fashions were bohemian inspired, and for those looking for a more upsale chic look, think Jackie Kennedy, with the matching suits, pill box hats, and flipped up hair styles.
Adele, the British singer who swept Grammy night epitomized the look with her bouffant hairdo, dramatic wing-tip eyeliner, and classic black dress.
For daytime add a dramatic print head scarf tied around your bouffant, bright red-hot accessories such as drop-dead gorgeous red pumps with candy apple lips - red is the sexy-hot colour to accessorize with this summer! Cat's-eye sunglasses complete the look and you'll be sure to look and feel like a movie star!
For nightime the look is classic and dramatic... don't be afraid to go all out and even wear false eyelashes so you can really bat those eyelashes a la Bridgid Bardot!
The new "summer of love" is upon us, and self-expression is the key to creating a look that evokes memories of the decade when man walked on the moon, and martinis were "shaken, not stirred!"
