How do you see the world? Do you see it in color or in black and white? How your world that you live in unfolds is what it is because of how you perceive it. Our thoughts create whatever we wish to see. Are you basically a positive person or do you tend to place your attention on what is wrong in the world? It is important to remember what we think about we draw to us. If you ache to have a happy life then it is up to you to start thinking happy thoughts and be positive and always look for what is right instead of wrong. Life is not just something we are placed in and are meant to go along with. It is like an interactive video game and it is up to us to play it. It is like that saying “What you see is what you get.”
People spend a great deal of money buying self-help cd’s and books trying to get ahead. If you take them all and extract the key points in each you will see that they all are saying essentially the same thing. Nobody has the wonder cure out there and the sooner we figure this out the better. We know already what we need to do, it is just a matter of getting down to brass tacks and doing it! Each new item we purchase with the hopes of finally finding the answer, is nothing more than our prolonging doing the inevitable. Believe me. I’ve been there and done that countless times. We cannot avoid forever going within and searching, for therein our answers wait to be discovered.
It is amazing how much effort it takes to be negative! First you have to make the conscious effort to see what is wrong in the world, then once you’ve mastered that you now have to deal with all the hard work of swimming upstream against the current and dealing with all the ego dramas the negativity attracts. Whew. Sounds exhausting to me. If you train yourself to look for the good in the world even amidst the bad, you are carried lightly aloft on the gentle breeze and transported to a better world, for you are now attracting to you what is right instead of what is wrong in the world. Everything begins to go your way with very little effort and you feel happy inside. It is all up to us to choose how we wish to see our world and how we will live in it.
Once we step out of the role of being a victim a whole new way of being opens up to us. We suddenly realize it is we who are at the controls and if we accept that responsibility we begin our journey to the new world. When bad things happen try hard to look for the good in what is happening. It is there if you are patient and eventually it will show itself. These difficult moments are what lift us up and help us grow for the better. We learn lessons from our mistakes if we look for them and in doing so we find meaning in what has just taken place. It teaches us how to expand ourselves beyond our limitations. When you see the homeless person on the street asking for money, do you see the unclean soul in ragged clothes and pull away, or do you see them as an opportunity to make someones life shine for just a moment when you make the effort to give them your time and say ” you matter”?
Blessings to us all,
