I came across this quote by the late, great Joseph Campbell and it spoke to me about our situation in the world today. “ I don’t believe people are looking for the meaning of life as much as they are looking for the experience of being alive”. I think this is what is so wrong in the world today. The world is filled with empty shells of people shuffling through their lives without connection to them. We have become a world of zombies, we do not feel, we do not experience, we do not care, we don’t even know who we are. Our lives have been hijacked and taken over by other forces with evil intentions to never let us be who we truly are. We have been molded and tweaked into whomever they desire us to be, we plod along without question, we do as we are told, we are almost at the point of being brainless. Fortunately, all of that is changing, as we awaken to the truth of the situation we find ourselves in!
We may have been turned into unfeeling zombies over time, but it doesn’t mean we have to stay that way! I’ve said before in posts that I feel the need for all of the reality TV shows are a result of people craving to feel alive and in the moment and reality shows in the moment provide that. It speaks volumes to where we are at today. Desperate to FEEL our lives and experience them as well. So much of our time is spent on autopilot from first thing in the morning until late at night. We plug ourselves in and almost don’t even need to open our eyes to see where we are going! It’s the same old mundane routine, day in and day out unless you are blessed with a fat bank account which most are not. This same old routine autopilot mindset is what makes it easy for them to control our minds and not pay attention to our lives.
So take the initiative and break free, engage in your lives, with gusto and stop allowing yourselves to fall into step with the old paradigm. It’s your life and if you choose to live a meaningful life, it is up to you to make it happen. First we have to be awake enough to recognize we are imprisoned and once we face that truth, we can begin to extricate ourselves from the system. We are only slaves when we don’t know any better, but we do know and so we must activate to save ourselves and humanity. Go within and discover what TRULY makes you happy and go after it. Laugh and enjoy what you are doing in your life and FEEL how that is making your life change. We are free, it is only our frightened minds that limit our choices in life. Forget what the dark ones want from your life, what is it you want for your life. We have come to earth to find and appreciate love and compassion and to above all free humanity! It begins with us, it begins with living a happy life.
