couric

Having taken a fair amount of heat from the science-based community for her recent show promoting scare stories about an important immunological vaccine, Katie Couric has backed off.  In a piece appearing Tuesday in the Huffington Post, the TV host conceded that some of the criticism that the segment was "too anti-vaccine and anti-science" was "valid...in retrospect." She acknowledged that "more emphasis should have been given to the safety and efficacy of the HPV vaccines."

A powerful icy storm system is sweeping across the US, resulting in temperatures dropping to -29C and lower as well as deaths, power cuts and massive travel disruption. Yesterday the winter storm began pushing up the country's densely-populated Eastern Seaboard, and forecasters say it will continue to drop freezing rain, sleet and snow on cities from West Virginia to Maine. A severe warning was issued by the Government’s National Weather Service (NWS) at the weekend, and officials say temperatures will remain low until late on Monday (local time) when the system exits to the northeast.

God said:

And the opposite is also true.

Yes, it is good to express yourself. It is good to speak up. It is also good to be silent. You do not need to voice every thought aloud. A possibility exists to keep your opinions to yourself.

You do not have to teach others the error of their ways. You may wish to improve others for their own betterment. They may not want your suggestions. Your suggestions may fall on deaf ears.

No question, sometimes it is kindness to be direct. Even so, sometimes it is right for you to speak up, and sometimes it is not your business to straighten out anyone but yourself.

Beloveds, with all love for you, you are not the conductor of the orchestra of life.

What a gift yesterday was!!  Ok, everyday is a gift, but I think yesterday was one of those presents you’ve been unwrapping the present within the present within the present to FINALLY get to the nugget, the real present within!!  The whole day was like that.  I knew something was very very different the moment I sat down to share.  The energy, the clarity, the inner impulses… extraordinary.

Shortly after I published yesterdays blog, I went to feed the birds and the light on top of the mesa just sent electricity thru my whole Being.  Granted, I see that Mesa every day, every morning and it never ever gets old.  Ever.  I felt that inner prompting to go capture the picture of the luminious light just crowning the mesa.  This was my first shot:

Morning Light 1

I was really expecting to see something show up in the image, since the inner desire to snap a picture was so strong.  I was kinda disappointed when it was like so many other pictures I had taken over the years.  Exactly 15 minutes later, that same strong impulse came thru me and I took one more picture:

~ Dana Mrkich ~ Happy 11/12/13!

Eddie1177's picture

Happy 11/12/13! This is the way we write today's date in Australia so those in other countries feel free to ride on our numerological wave today that you guys experienced back in November!

Today has one of those balanced dates that feel a little magical, offering hope that there is some sort of order and rhythm to this world even when we can't see it. It has a gentle yet vibrant energy, one we can take with us into every day regardless of date.

It reminds me of one of my favourite quotes: "Everything is okay in the end, and if it's not okay it's not the end."

~ The Unbounded Spirit ~ Only Happy People Can Create a Beautiful World

Eddie1177's picture

laughing buddha paintingGFP Commentary: Humanity CHOSE LOVE. Only the Highest Outcome can unfold for Humanity NOW, Love promises.

Miserable people are dangerous for the simple reason they don’t care whether the earth survives or not. They are so miserable that deep down they may think it would be better if everything were finished. Who cares, if you are living in misery?

Only happy people, ecstatic people, dancing people would like this planet to survive forever.

Seriousness is simply a sickness of the soul, but sincerity is altogether a different phenomenon.

A serious man cannot laugh, cannot dance, cannot play. He is always controlling himself, he has become a jailer to himself. The sincere man can rejoice sincerely, can dance sincerely, can laugh sincerely. And in laughter your body joins, your mind joins, your being joins – the divisions disappear, the schizophrenic personality disappears.

Laughter brings your energy back to you. Taking laughter away from you is spiritual castration.

People who are happy, contented, are not the people to be forced to kill other people who have not done any harm to them. It is not surprising that all the armies down the ages have been kept sexually repressed – because those sexually repressed people are bound to be destructive. Their very repression forces them to destroy something.
