NSA collects millions of e-mail address books globally

The National Security Agency is harvesting hundreds of millions of contact lists from personal e-mail and instant messaging accounts around the world, many of them belonging to Americans, according to senior intelligence officials and top-secret documents provided by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.

 

Although the collection takes place overseas, two senior U.S. intelligence officials acknowledged that it sweeps in the contacts of many Americans. They declined to offer an estimate but did not dispute that the number is likely to be in the millions or tens of millions.

A group of US whistleblowers and activists have met in Moscow to present NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden with the Sam Adams Award for ‘Integrity in Intelligence’. They came to RT’s studio to share their thoughts on global surveillance.

 

After a secret meeting with Snowden, the four whistleblowers – former NSA executive Thomas Andrews Drake, former CIA analyst Ray McGovern, former FBI agent Coleen Rowley and Jesselyn Radack of Government Accountability Project – all met in RT’s studio to discuss the perils of doing what right and why Snowden should be lauded as a hero for sending shock waves around the world.

Typhoon Nari Huffs, Puffs and Brings Floods to Vietnam

HANOI _ Typhoon Nari hit the coastal city of Danang on Tuesday morning, killing at least five people, knocking down trees, damaging hundreds of houses and sinking dozens of fishing boats. The storm has since weakened and is forecast to be downgraded to a tropical storm later today, but officials say it has triggered heavy rains that may cause dangerous floods — meaning worse could be yet to come.Water levels in local rivers in central Vietnam are rising rapidly and people in central provinces, as well as the Central Highland, should beware of landslides and flash floods, say officials at the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, which monitors severe weather events.

Heavy rains in Phailin's wake cause river to overflow, flooding two districts in eastern Odisha state.

At least five people have been killed in the eastern Indian state of Odisha in floods triggered by heavy rains that accompanied a fierce cyclone over the weekend.

The Budhabalanga river is overflowing and has flooded two districts, officials said on Tuesday.

"Five people have died due to flooding in northern Odisha, in Mayurbhanj and Balasore," Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra, the state's special relief commissioner, told AFP news agency.

We The “United” People

We the united people stand together, brother and sister, black and white, American and Chinese, Native American and Palestinian, butcher and executive, trucker and police officer, all people, of all beliefs, in every occupation, in every country, on every continent, all now stand together as one.

It has happened, a unifying force of unconditional Love has finally taken hold.  It has captured the hearts and minds of all of humanity.  One by one, everyone is now waking up to a sense of knowing, a knowing that the time has come to truly step into our destiny as a world of unified and unconditional love for each other.

World events telling of the discontent of the status quo are happening every day now in ways that could never have been done or seen before.  In every country world-wide protests are happening daily.  Not just small unnoticed events.  Thousands, hundreds of thousands, Millions of people are standing up for a new and just way of living.

Media block-outs and false information still persist but internet coverage and cell phone cameras and the digital age have revealed the truth that can no longer be covered up.  Even main stream media now covers the events to some degree but is growing ever stronger daily.  For even the hearts of those who would cover up the truth are a part of the growing rise in consciousness now.  Event those that have worked to hide and cover up information are realizing the futility of their ways.  For they know that all things will be revealed!  Better to get on board now then to face the coming criminal trials soon to become a world-wide and ongoing event.

Lunar Eclipse in Aries ~ October 18th 2013

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian friends! (And a blessed Monday to all my friends around the world!)

We’ve got a couple of events happening in the next week but I wanted to take some time to talk about the Aries Lunar Eclipse that is happening on Friday. Some of you may have seen the post that I made last week on Facebook about some of my own self-reflections on the Eclipse and the nature of justice in my life. This is very much a theme that would help all of us to grow and create more peace in our lives.

So there are three things that we want to look at as we consider the energies of this Lunar Eclipse: the nature of a Lunar Eclipse, its position in the sign of Aries, and the condition of Aries’ ruler; Mars.

jenniferhoffman300x225A few months ago I decided that it was time to make my move away from here so I put my home on the market. Within two days I had a serious buyer. The day before they were coming over to sign the contract I was hospitalized. Then I was too sick to move so I had to stop the sale. I wondered why the sale fell through, since everything flowed so well and I was so sure the time was right. After all, I was completely ready to let go of my home and had made the decision to move. Was this just a waste of time? Did I do something wrong? It’s easy to feel that way when results don’t seem to flow as we think they should and it isn’t about time now, it’s about the movement of energy in the best, most fulfilling and wonderful way, from intention to outcome in an effortless flow of timing.

Is it possible to ‘waste time’, to put our focus, energy, and intention towards the wrong outcome or towards one that doesn’t manifest as we think it should, could or would? How can we know we’re using our power in the right way if we can’t be sure of the outcome? How long do we wait for it and how much is too long, or not long enough? Is it a waste of time to even go there? I find it interesting that we think we have wasted time when things don’t work out as we think they will or should. But if they do, then we think that our time was well spent. The difference is between time and timing.
