Researchers with the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) have found a way to potentially reverse one of the deadly risks associated with intestinal failure in children. Their discovery indicates fish oil may be able to prevent liver disease commonly caused by intestinal failure treatment. The clinical trial, conducted at the Children’s Discovery and Innovation Institute at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA, is heralded as “remarkable” and life-changing for children who may otherwise have a bleak outlook.

Southern Australia is being rattled by hundreds of quakes- and scientists aren’t sure why

September 10, 2013 – AUSTRALIA - Scientists in Victoria are attempting to learn more about the increase in the number of earthquakes in the Gippsland region. Seismologists are describing the region as an earthquake hotspot. There were only 50 earthquakes recorded up until 2009, but since then there have been 700. The activity has been particularly high in the Strzelecki Ranges which lie between the Latrobe Valley and the Gippsland coastline. Locals have been intrigued by the tremors for years. Gary Gibson from the University of Melbourne says the motion in Gippsland is high. “There are other spots that are active for a period of time but they’re active for a geologically short period, maybe 100,000 years or something and they go quiet. And they’ve got no long term evidence of continued motion,” he said. “Whereas the motion in Gippsland here, the rate of earthquake activity we have at the moment is high.

Change is upon us. Though change has always been here, it's making itself much more obvious now. The Planet is shifting, the climate is being altered, sea levels rising, ice caps melting, and the entire ecosystem is constantly adjusting itself. Socially, people are fed up with corporate greed and the governments that protect the corporations at the expense of the people. People are hungry for a break from the dysfunctional systems of the past. An African-American man is president of a country that barely treated his race as human just a couple generations ago. Countries are coming clean about their suppression of information regarding UFOs, and it's now to the point that only the willfully ignorant can convince themselves nothing is going on.

Yes, love yourself. Stop looking for acceptance from outside. This hasn't worked for the thousands of years people have been on this planet, isn't currently working and wont work in the future. Love can't be found outside of yourself because what appears to be external is only an illusion. Love lies deep within, are you willing to look inside yourself? Most people aren't, looking inside offends the ego. Self-awareness and the ego are not compatible. In awareness we realize we are neither the body nor the ego/mind.

Our search for love from other people is what spoils most relationships. We look to our partner for happiness and when they fall we fall with them. This isn't love, but co-dependency. In a truly loving relationship when one person falls the other is there to pick them back up. Both partners are pillars of strength, together yet separate, helping each other along this path we all walk.

And now to address narcissism. Most of us have been told that loving yourself is this evil thing called narcissism. This couldn't be farther from the truth. Narcissists are obsessed with their body and/or ego. They think their body/ego is better than others and need confirmation from other people. When they don't get it they usually become very obnoxious. So narcissism is not really love yourself, it's still looking for external confirmation. If you truly love yourself you don't need confirmation from other people. You're free from the trap of co-dependency.

When you truly love yourself you'll discover what love truly is and you'll be able to truly love another.

We are all on the journey to get to wonderland eventually, but many are frustrated and quite frankly exhausted. I am beginning to wonder if in setting our intentions for arriving at  Wonderland, perhaps we need to all get our intentions on a similar page. I mean how can we try to create one thing with millions of different ideas? Perhaps we need to create a blue print of what we are all wanting so we can all be intending the same thing and make it happen faster. Just what exactly is it that we each want our wonderland to be like? I for one certainly don’t want a bunch of rules, but an accepted and agreed upon summary of guidance on what we are creating would be nice. Cohesion is always a strong factor to have in play. So what is it we can all decide upon so we can get busy creating that kind of new world?

The possibility that extreme life forms might exist in the cold and dark lakes hidden kilometres beneath the Antarctic ice sheet has fascinated scientists for decades.

This is because parts of the ice sheet are melting and retreating at unprecedented rates as the temperature rises at the poles.
The group targeted Lake Hodgson on the Antarctic Peninsula which was covered by more than 400 m of ice at the end of the last Ice Age, but is now considered to be an emerging subglacial lake, with a thin covering of just 3–4 metres of ice.
