Barclays has been fined by US regulators

Barclays and four of its traders have been fined 453 million dollars (£300 million) by United States regulators for manipulating power prices.

FERC said it found a trail of emails and instant messages that revealed the power price rigging.

The Michael Hastings Fellowship is aimed at proven journalists with strong sources and major stories to their credit who are interested in focusing for a year on a single subject and producing a series of stories on that topic. Proposed topics may include American foreign and national security policy; federal or local counterterrorism policy; the U.S. military; whistle-blowers; government secrecy; federal law enforcement; the military-industrial complex; veterans; human rights in conflict zones; and other related topics.

Initially I think there was justification in that leadership officials thought people weren’t ready to handle it. But we are well past that now. Frankly, and this is just personal opinion, remember what (President) Eisenhower said in his final speech: “Beware the military industrial complex.” I suspect that’s what we’re talking about.

But it’s not just military. It’s a cabal of organizations primarily for a profit motive. We invented aircraft at the beginning of the 20th century.

New Jersey Supreme Court Restricts Police Searches of Phone Data

Staking out new ground in the noisy debate about technology and privacy in law enforcement, the New Jersey Supreme Court on Thursday ordered that the police will now have to get a search warrant before obtaining tracking information from cellphone providers.

The ruling puts the state at the forefront of efforts to define the boundaries around a law enforcement practice that a national survey last year showed was routine, and typically done without court oversight or public awareness. With lower courts divided on the use of cellphone tracking data, legal experts say, the issue is likely to end up before the United States Supreme Court.

The New Jersey decision also underscores the extent of the battles over government intrusion into personal data in a quickly advancing digital age, from small town police departments to the National Security Agency’s surveillance of e-mail and cellphone conversations.

With little fanfare, Montana became the first state to require police to obtain a warrant before tracking the location of a suspect in a criminal investigation through his cell phone.

House Bill 603, sponsored by Rep. Daniel Zolnikov, a Republican, was signed into law on May 6. The American Civil Liberties Union hailed the new law in a blog post Friday as the first of its kind. . . .

question about feeling disconnected

Hi All.  I am just wondering how much others are feeling totally disconnected from things, especially work - the kind of work one does to take care of earthly needs.  I am grateful for the opportunities I have to bring in a decent income and do my part to better take care of my family but I have never felt so disinterested, easily distracted, and unmotivated.  Part of me feels like I've been 'hustling' for decades and I am just burned out.  I have always been able to recharge and feel revitalized but it's been months. Sure, I have other business interests I want to pursue, but they demand resources that I don't have w/o continuing my current work.  I have been spiritually aware my entire life full of amazing experiences.  I get that we are all going thru ascension symptoms.  I get that life is very happily changing.  I'm not looking for someone to tell me to 'follow my dream' as I am already doing that with my work lifestyle -- as a consultant.  I have total independence, and have always enjoyed what I do but I can't seem to give a hoot about it anymore.  It's a means to other things this much I know.  But the disconnect I am feeling now is like none other.  I am going to start sitting in silence around trees as much as I can - I already spend time in prayer/ meditation, live green and healthy, manage stress well, and don't give energy to things I can't control.  I just want to enjoy working again -- is anyone else feeling this?

What some might term “mass awakenings” will occur in due time, yet for each individual human unit will manifest appropriately for their individual consciousness level.

The “Might of the Light” will be seen at individual and “mass” levels, and will not be deniable.

Individual and “mass” Higher D strengthening is experienced at this time, whether fully aware or not.
