Being Grounded ~ Faiza Billingsley

Lia's picture

There is so much information on the internet about being grounded, but being grounded to me means being fully present: physically, emotionally and energetically. It has taken most of my life to not only learn about being grounded but to start putting it in practice. No one ever told me of this term before, i had no idea. If i would have known about this i could have saved myself a lot of grief in life i suppose.

I tend to make things more difficult than they should be, most people tend to do that to themselves in this life, I have noticed, maybe ego and religion plays a role in this aspect, but it is simple, it means that your mind is not pulling you elsewhere, like dwelling in the past or on the future. Just take a deep breath, and be in the present moment. You can walk out in nature, or sit under a tree and just with your mind, imagine that you are growing roots under you that is connecting you with Mother Earth, there, you are grounded!

Even though your love app is a given, your remaining apps are not monitored by God, the Universes, angels or any other entity.

The title of last week’s “Brenda’s Blog” – her free, weekly, channeled blog for http://www.LifeTapestryCreations.com: “Let It Be”

Brenda’s “Creation Energies” BlogTalkRadio.com show and “Brenda’s Blog” contain different channeled materials.

I had intended to drive to Seattle at some point during this Turtle Island journey, in part, to meet Julien Wells. As it turns out, I discovered he was here in Mt. Shasta attending a conference by and with Andrew Bartzis. After a few attempts, we finally connected (in part due to Yaks Koffee, where we (and a few others) went for lunch).

When is the next Blue Moon?

Desert Gypsy's picture

EarthSky.org, 6/25/13, Deborah Byrd

There are different definitions for Blue Moon. By popular acclaim, the Blue Moon refers to the second of two full moons to occur in the same calendar month. A Blue Moon is also regarded as the third of four full moons in a single season – a season being defined as the time period between a solstice and an equinox, or vice versa. Or, someday, you might see an actual blue-colored moon. The next Blue Moon will fall on August 20-21, 2013. It’ll be a Blue Moon by the seasonal definition, that is, the third of four full moons to take place in a season, in this case between the June 2013 solstice and September equinox. The last Blue Moon by this definition happened on November 21, 2010.

The next Blue Moon by the second-full-moon-in-a-calendar-month definition will be on July 31, 2015. The first full moon of July 2015 will be on July 1, 2015. Previously, the last monthly Blue Moon happened on August 31, 2012.

A shelf cloud is spotted over Huntley, Ill. as a derecho invaded the Midwest on Monday, June 24, 2013. (NWS Chicago/Francis Uy)

A derecho struck the Midwest Monday, June 23 leaving wind damage in Chicago, Iowa, and other parts of the Midwest.  The Monday storms snarled traffic, air travel, and downed dozens of trees in the region.  There were also several tornado reports Monday, June 23.

Derechoes are large clusters of thunderstorms that produce widespread wind damage, usually as a result of one or more curved lines of thunderstorms known as bow echoes. The word in the Spanish language means "straight" and these windstorms leave wide, long swaths of straight-line wind damage. These winds can be as strong as 50 to 100 mph or higher.

West Fork Complex fire is still burning

Desert Gypsy's picture

Koaa.com - 6/24/13, Andy Kohn

An abundance of dead trees helped fuel the fires of the West Fork Complex burning in the mountains west of Alamosa.

More than 75-thousand acres have burned between West Fork, Papoosa and Windy Pass. As many as 70 percent of the Engelmann Spruce trees in the forest had been killed by years of drought and beetle-kill even before the fire began.

More than 800 firefighters are on the ground in what has become the top priority wildfire in the U.S.

The Last Mystery of the Financial Crisis

RollingStone.com - Matt Taibbi, 6/19/13

It's long been suspected that ratings agencies like Moody's and Standard & Poor's helped trigger the meltdown. A new trove of embarrassing documents shows how they did it

The Last Mystery of the Financial Crisis. Victor Juhasz

Thanks to a mountain of evidence gathered for a pair of major lawsuits by the San Diego-based law firm Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd, documents that for the most part have never been seen by the general public, we now know that the nation's two top ratings companies, Moody's and S&P, have for many years been shameless tools for the banks, willing to give just about anything a high rating in exchange for cash.
