What causes rainbow colors in clouds?

Iridescent clouds seen by EarthSky Facebook friend Mike O'Neal in Oklahoma on May 27, 2013. Thank you, Mike.

 

Sky watchers on occasion report seeing colors in the clouds, and sometimes our friends send photos of these rainbow colors in clouds. You’ll find some examples in this post. These colorful clouds are called iridescent clouds, and the phenomenon is called cloud iridescence or irisation. The term comes from Iris, the Greek personification of the rainbow. At least 22 vehicles were dragged into a canyon in the town of Tepeji del Rio, Hidalgo, following severe weather on Sunday that included a tornado and hail that accumulated up to 7 feet high.

Filiberto Reyes Villa, a resident of Tepeji del Rio, Hidalgo, said: "It started to hail and lasted one hour exactly, began to collect the water of the two canyons and began to bring the cars."

Man United By Union


Each expresses Beauty. 

Each in their own way.

Filtered through their culture and traditions.

United and Unions are made by man

And are myths and illusions created by the human ego.

One can only be United in Love.

A Union formed when the heart joins with other hearts.

Then will manifest.

Beauty expressed in Love.

United by a Union formed between the hearts.

Formed together among the hearts of Man.

Note:  This poem came to me while watching the Eurovision Song Contest on TV.  Many were expressing their longings and hope for a world of loving cooperation.  An ideal yet to be manifest.
Sponspored by the EU which is more Union formed by those of wealth and influence to futher their own agenda.  A gang of Reversed Robin Hoods who steal from the poor to give to the wealthy under their new banner of Neoliberalism.  Another creation of man doomed to failure which is totally lacking in the heart connection of those I call Man.

I have worked with the words given in inspiration over a few weeks and first published this poem on my blog today.

American Kabuki clearly received my telepathic message, when I suggested (telepathically) that he/we re-release the Poof interview (consultation) with Brian Kelly from last October. So he did, and posted it at this link.

 

I’ve converted the video to MP3s (I misplaced my original recording mp3s somewhere), for downloadable iPhone, iPod, MP3-player listening.

 

I recall days when I would travel in my vehicle and listen to this one over and over. I always felt a type of “uplift” when I listened. Perhaps you will, too.

 

Recall that Poof requested this be pulled from the internet, due to issues in/from Hong Kong. And Heather later picked up on this, and knew that “Hong Kong” referred to General Wong, who was a bit of a “progress blocker” for the transformation of the world financial systems. This also led to her contacting AK, Poof, and myself, and thus began the whole “snowball of the One People” rolling downhill, and picking up momentum.

This is the real Poof, and nothing but the real Poof.
