Warp Drive and 'Star Trek': Physics of Future Space Travel (Op-Ed)

Another "Star Trek" film just hit the screen — featuring the venerable Starship Enterprise.  To enable such fantastical star flight, we need faster-than-light (FTL) flight, control over inertial and gravitational forces, extreme energy prowess, and the societal discipline to harness that much power safely. Between the sensationalistic hype and pedantic disdain, how much progress is really being made? 

For starters, the technical goals ceased to be just science fiction decades ago with a legacy of pertinent publications (see editor's note below). To be clear, this does not mean that these breakthroughs are on the threshold of discovery.  What it does mean is that these notions have advanced to where they are now problems that are able to be attacked.  A graduate-level treatise, along with next-step research options, is available as the compilation "Frontiers of Propulsion Science" (AIAA, 2009).

As our global awakening intensifies, and as our awareness of all kinds of truths increases, it is only natural that any energy that feels threatened by that or has fear around that, also increases. We always see this on a personal level whenever we are ready to jump into a new level in any aspect of our lives. Our inner doubts, fears and any remaining remnants of old patterns flare up in response to our decisions to commit to new actions and pathways. 

Energy works the same way whether it’s an inner personal experience, or an outer collective one. So, we are seeing this type of response now on a global level with the sense that the net of control around humanity and human behaviour is feeling more and more like a choking stranglehold. The increase in this type of energy is always a good sign, not a negative one (even though it can feel very unpleasant). It is indicative of the degree to which something is expanding in its nature, the degree to which something has outgrown its old form. The ‘stranglehold’ we are seeing and feeling, is an attempt by those collective aspects of us to retain an illusion of control, to retain a sense that all is ‘business as usual’.  This is making people feel more than ever like they have no choice in anything, and no power. Now, more than ever, it is important to look deeper and realise that this ‘stranglehold’ is not a sign we have no choice and no power – it is a fear response to the growing realisation that we DO have choice and we DO have power.

Opening a Gateway Light activation/meditation

Dear Ascension Pioneers!

Here is my Light activation/meditation on Opening a Gateway. Yesterday I did it myself, while I was sitting outside. After it, I saw three white Light ships. It was a very deep and profound experience. We each have the ability to strengthen our personal Vortex, and through that, we can even open up gateways, if we are so guided of course. Usually gatekeepers operate with this kind of energy work, while the pillars radiate these higher frequencies out. But we need as many who can volunteer to open up the gateways to higher dimensional energies that are entering our planet. Also, we are being asked to focus on our personal Ascension, as there is no more time for non important things. Ascension is well under way, and those who are choosing to ascend, are being invited to enter these interdimensional energies deeper and continue to disperse them. It is all about selfless service to others!

Dear Jennifer:  I know that I am on my ascension journey and I have been working so hard to move energy so I can get clear about the next steps. But I feel like I am doing this all by myself. I look for signs and confirmation, am ready to receive but I’m not hearing or seeing anything. Am I doing something wrong or am I supposed to do this without any help? I thought the Universe would support me on my path and I’m not feeling it.

Jennifer’s Answer:  Support is always around us and always available to us in every situation. Some questions I have for you are, what kind of support do you want, what do you think support looks or feels like and what are the results you are looking for? There is a difference between being supported and being taken care of. While we say we want support, being taken care of is often what we expect and when we don’t see those results, we think that the Universe is absent or is not listening.

Turrialba (Costa Rica): New ash emissions occurred yesterday and produced light ash falls in the outskirts of San José, in the areas of Guadalupe, Tres Ríos, Curridabat, and Ipis (at about 30 km distance).
The relatively strong ash emissions occurred from about 08:50 until 10h30 local time and were produced from two vents at the volcano. At the moment, it is not yet clear whether some of the ash is from new magma or if it is only pulverized older rock (i.e. the product of phreatic activity). Analysis of ash samples will probably tell this very soon. The volcano has in the recent past occasionally emitted ash, such as last in Jan 2012, but had otherwise only been in a state of strong degassing recently. It is known for high SO2 emissions that damage vegetation around the crater and at nearby plantations.

One Monday in mid-February 1989, Alec Newald set off on what should have been a three hour drive from Rotorua to Auckland, in New Zealand.
