Stargazers lucky enough to have clear skies this week could get a glimpse of comet Pan-STARRS, as it makes a close approach to earth and the sun.
Comet Pan-STARRS, named for the telescope used to spot it in 2011, is passing within 100 miles of earth Tuesday. By the weekend it will make its closest approach to the sun.

Big Story Weather from March 1-3: The cold weather that hit the Gulf Coast and Southeast caused some minor damage to crops in Florida over the weekend. The other big story of the weekend was the development of our next powerful storm system which is moving into the Plains today.
Weather Outlook for March 4: High pressure over Florida will bring a nice day to the Southeast and Gulf Coast. This will also push into the Mid-Atlantic region. A few remaining snow showers will be found over Maine today. The next powerful storm system is pushing into the Northern Plains and will bring moderate snowfall to the region. Dry conditions will prevail out west. Below is the weather for a few select cities.

Scientists at the University of Liverpool have found evidence of an ancient micro-continent buried beneath the Indian Ocean which formed in the last 16 millions years. This ancient precambrian continent, named Mauritia, extends more than 1500 km in length from the Seychelles to the island of Mauritius and contains rocks as old as 2,000 million years. According to Professor Nick Kusznir, who led the University of Liverpool’s processing and analysis of satellite gravitational field anomalies to map the Indian Ocean crustal thickness, there are remnants of fragmented continents under the Indian Ocean.

CARACAS, Venezuela — A severe new respiratory infection has hit cancer-stricken President Hugo Chavez and his condition is “very delicate,” Venezuela’s government says.
A brief statement read on national television by Communications Minister Ernesto Villegas late Monday carried the sobering news about the charismatic 58-year-old socialist leader’s deteriorating health.
World news media have been widely reporting that Queen Elizabeth II has been hospitalized with “gastroenteritis” but MI5 sources are saying the Queen is not ill and that the story was put out so that she could cancel a trip to Rome where there was a real murder plot against her. The MI5 source says that Peter Hans Kolvenbach, the former “black pope,” or head of the Jesuits, who already got rid of the Pope, was plotting to get rid of the Queen during her Rome visit as a part of his plan to create a “one world religion.” Kolvenbach is now hiding in Lebanon where he has been helping orchestrate the ongoing Muslim brotherhood led “revolutions,” in the Middle East. He is expected to be captured and taken in for questioning soon.
Kolvenbach has been previously recording bragging on the phone that he was the mastermind behind the 311 nuclear and tsunami terror attack against Japan, according to CIA and MI5 sources. He has also been recorded threatening to poison Adolfo Nicolas, the current Superior General of the Society of Jesus, the same sources say. Nicolas and the Queen are both cooperating with Asian groups and the White Dragon Society to push for a massive campaign to end poverty and stop environmental destruction.

Issues related to values, love, attraction, security, beauty, finances, and health surface today. This is a wide area of coverage, isn't it? For those that follow astrology, Venus and Chiron make exact conjunction today while continuing yesterday's square to Jupiter. This energy has been heavy. Chiron energy is a lot to handle and we've had a lot of Chiron in play. The thing to remember is today is not the end of the story. Whatever looks like the end is not really the end. We can't see things clearly right now, only hazy outlines. It's nebulous. So if you feel defeated about something or feel like giving up or giving up hope, just park that for today. Put it on hold. Skip out. Walk away. Let the universe take over and work with it for a while. Ask that it be transformed. "Butterfly medicine" is at work but in order for it to work we have to give it space.
