Advocate staff file photo by HEATHER MCCLELLAND -- Assumption Parish officials are trying to figure out how to increase the pace at which vent wells are installed at a sinkhole near the Bayou Corne and Grand Bayou communities so methane gas can be burned off and residents can return home. The sinkhole, which formed in August, was photographed Dec. 13.
One-tenth to one-twentieth of the methane gas estimated to be trapped under the Bayou Corne and Grand Bayou communities in northern Assumption Parish has been burned off so far, according to parish emergency response officials.

We are indeed all like snow flakes. There is no one person that is the same as anyone else, just as there are no two snow flakes the same. One snow flake can only change its immediate environment with just itself, yet a whole host of snow flakes coming down together, can change the environment in a big way. We are all different as well, all individuals with passions and skills all our own, we use them to get ahead in our lives, but when we join them together with others, we can make a very strong impact in the world. We are now operating within the realm of 2013, not only a new year, a new age (Aquarius) but think of this as an era which is the first of its kind. A new year in a new paradigm unlike ever before. Human consciousness is exploding and people are coming alive again, beginning to feel and experience life on a whole new level, as if they were thawing out from a long cold freeze.
The king tides are caused by the lining up of the sun, moon, and Earth while the moon and sun are relatively close.
Last month, the so-called "king tides" lead to coastal flooding along the West Coast of the U.S., in particular.
According to a story in the West Seattle blog, preliminary data indicates the storm
tide from Colman Dock in Downtown Seattle on Dec. 17 set an all-time record, there, topping a record from January 27, 1983. Records at Colman Dock date to 1898.

January 6, 2013 – CHINA - Temperatures in China have plunged to their lowest in almost three decades, cold enough to freeze coastal waters and trap 1,000 ships in ice, official media said at the weekend. Since late November the country has shivered at an average of minus 3.8 degrees Celsius (25 degrees Fahrenheit), 1.3 degrees colder than the previous average, and the chilliest in 28 years, state news agency Xinhua said on Saturday, citing the China Meteorological Administration.

The solar system of which earth is a part of is fabulously pulsing its way toward the light of a different order, changing everything and inspiring an evolutional leap that is natural within the great schemes of things. This soon to be experienced light is of a cosmic order, and though you cannot see it from your current perspective, it is propelling you into auspicious moments of illumination and self-realization. Gaia (planet earth being) has evolved into phases and spaces that will elicit a practice of deepening to live from your internal core of truth and authenticity this year. For that reason I thought I would dedicate today's column to some basic information on going from 3D to 5D, or third dimension to fifth.
I don’t know about you, but this still New Year of 2013 is very different!
The days are all the same for me, and I don’t notice, whether it is Monday, Wednesday or Saturday, because they all feel like Sunday.
There is such a bliss around me, so that these old details of 3D reality seem not to matter anymore. Still in 2012 each day had its characteristic vibration, but now they are all floating in an ascended light.
