Mercury is still causing quite a stir, moving off of its square to Uranus and moving on to making a conjunction with Pluto through the weekend. To some degree, Mercury affects our thinking. When it contacts Pluto, our thoughts can go very deep because Pluto rules The Underworld. In addition to being deep, The Underworld is also dark. Over the last several days, the trend has been to beat up on ourselves or "go dark" as in pulling down a curtain. The Third Quarter Moon phase enters this weekend to affect all of that. In fact, it is here for us to analyze where we are now as "immigrants in a new country" as the Sabian symbol of the New Moon envisioned.
(Reuters) - Brazil's Northeast is suffering its worst drought in decades, threatening hydro-power supplies in an area prone to blackouts and potentially slowing economic growth in one of the country's emerging agricultural frontiers.
Lack of rain has hurt corn and cotton crops, left cattle and goats to starve to death in dry pastures and wiped some 30 percent off sugar cane production in the region responsible for 10 percent of Brazil's cane output.
Bushfires are raging in many parts of Australia as the country experiences one of its most intense heatwaves in the last half century.
Some 80 percent of the country is in the grips of the heatwave, believed to have its origins in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Settled weather conditions, aided by significantly above-average water temperatures along the coast have fed exceptionally warm air across the continent.
Indeed, circumstances may not be what you like, yet that doesn’t mean they are wrong. That you don’t like the circumstances is valid. To get into the wrongness is a pitfall that you want to stay away from.
Debating the wrongness takes you down a winding street that turns out to be a dead-end. You may consider certain circumstances wrong, and by everything you know, the circumstances are wrong to the nth degree, yet where does it get you to review the circumstances again and again or even once? You are not a policeman of life who is to collect evidence of wrongdoing. You are to let wrongdoing go from your mind. There is no point in your refreshing whatever troubles you.

Sometimes I question all of this stuff, and believe me; I have had enough emails to leave not one stone of this ‘messenger lark’ unturned. Yet as I work my way through my TRUTHS … at the end of the day … I simply say to my heart ‘What do you FEEL?’ and instantly I FEEL A DEEP LOVE.
SO … Yes indeed … There are some issues that I would certainly like explaining whilst discussing ‘The Earthly Agenda’ over a pot of tea and a current bun with the affectionately known FOL … yet for now … I choose to accept the notion that it is wise to carry on with these ‘Off World Light Warriors’ because they seem to focus on LOVE more than anything else. In fact I don’t think they have ever done a channel and not brought the utter importance of it to the fore.

MANILA, Philippines—Tropical Storm “Auring” is now out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and all public storm signals have been lifted, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), which located the storm some 460 kilometers southwest of Puerto Princesa City as of 5 p.m. on Friday.

"It's been the year when flooding became relevant to every part of the country. From the south-west to the north-east, every part of the country got hit," says Charles Tucker, chairman of the National Flood Forum, which represents more than 200 local community groups. "Flooding can now strike anywhere, and it needs to be recognised as the No 1 national emergency happening now."

Alaska has been experiencing a widespread cooling pattern for at least a decade, despite a trend of global warming climate. In the first decade since 2000, the state has cooled an average of -16.4°C (2.4 degrees Fahrenheit). Parts of Western Alaska saw temperatures drop a significant 4.5 °C for the decade. On the other side, has in fact warmed at twice the global average in the past 100 years, in line with trends noted throughout polar regions.

After a long period of quiet time the Sun has sent us a greetings card today. At 9:31 UTC on January 5, 2013 an M1.7 solar flare peaked from Region 1650. The event started at 9:26, peaked at 9:31 and ended at 9:34 UTC. As of early morning today Region 1650 has ’alpha’ magnetic configuration and is rotating into view off the southeast limb.
