Since 2004, when I bought my first digital camera, I seem to be catching 'orbs' and other spiritual phenomenas in my pictures. I like to share some of my best with you!
This Dyptic is one of my early abstracts in acrylics. I have not got a clue how I achieved
the effects. I did many abstracts. My photo records of them were lost many years ago. I
have kept this painting for me as a reminder to get back into abstract and fantasy
painting. 1981
After my visit to Michael Jackson's ranch in 1990, I began a burst of superb creativity. This was one of many pieces that I created out of brass, as I explored the use of a metal lathe. (I designed and created his beautiful carousel)
I just finished this 31" sculpture from recycled steel. The rays are from the steel of a horse trailer and the sun is a steel WOK that I found at a garage sale. I remembered the song from the mid 80's, " Walking on sunshine" and thought I would Pun with it. The eyes, nose and mouth are separate pieces of steel that are welded on. I started making these sun faces about five years ago to sell at the annual "Art in the Park" fair and a greenhouse called the "Flying Begonia." This type of sun has to be drawn out on paper, full size and each piece is traced, cut and welded on.
I was not happy with the Autumn finish that I originally had on it, so I repainted it. This is my first attempt of a Green Man, which was followed by the ceramic one posted below.
This Green Man mask is constructed from a scrap steel harrowing disk. I used actual oak leaves as patterns to cut out the leaves, using scrap steel as well. 26'' H. The Green Man originated in ancient times as the male version of mother nature. It shifted and changed through the many cultures. It became a common thread in art and architecture during the middle ages.
I call these seven Lemurian Star Seed crystals, "The Seven Sisters" after the Pleiades star system. I got these in Peru. I felt that they are a unite. They were empowered in ceremony that a native Quechua Shaman and I performed.
I was guided to make these meditation gates many years ago. They are simple to construct and are very powerful vortexes. They contain copper coils and stones and other medicine.
I created this meditation pyramid several years ago. It has a Merkaba hanging from center. Sitting within the pyramid rapidly brings deep silence. They are easy to make and so beneficial.
I am enjoying some Pu-erh tea, while basking in the warm, afternoon sun. An Alan Watts lecture is playing. Emanon (no name) came and joined me. LOVE IS....... Like so many others, I spent many years of my life searching for it, only to discover that it was within me all along. I AM Love and so is every person on this planet. It is our own individual choice to allow that love to flow out into the world or remain chained to our ignorance and fear. I believe our animals are mirrors that reflect who we really are. This can help us to let go of the false beliefs of who we think we are.
