If we worship another, then we remain in duality. We have not fully entered the path within.

Through awareness, we learn to worship the essence of our nature and the truth of existence within the temple of our own consciousness. Our worship is a realization of truth and oneness. It is rejoicing within our being.

True worship is to fill ourselves with the awareness of eternity, to know our godliness as beings of light.

Worship no person, or image -- only the awareness of who you are becoming.

God said:

You are vital and important to the world. Your giving is more important than your receiving. Yes, I say that very clearly without doubt. This is not to say that you are not to receive. This is to say: Receiving is not enough. Whatever boons you receive, give out so that others have the benefit as well.
 
You may not yet quite be clued in that everything you receive comes from Me. And everything that I give to you is not the end of the story, for everyone is One, and you are part of a chain that reaches out beyond yourself. You are not the end of the cycle. There is a further step. Remember Oneness. You expand yourself as you share. As you share, you receive more. Do not abscond yourself from sharing.
 
Sharing is natural. If you receive a pound of candy, you don’t have to give it all away. The fact is that in sharing, you gain. It is not always easy for My children to understand this principle of sharing. You may think of sharing as subtracting and having less. Sharing is the next step of gaining. Giving is gain, not loss. Sharing and giving expand you. The purpose of life is expansion.
 
When you receive a blessing, you are elevated. When you have sought and you have found, the elation is not meant for you alone. What you receive, you are to give. Receiving is not the end of the matter.
 

Closely examine your ‘inner workings’ to decide what you do and do not need to keep. All the things you thought you needed for protection, comfort or love will not be important anymore. In your ever expanding awareness, there will always be something more beautiful to come and take its place. The ‘old ones’ had it right when they said, “Ask and you shall receive”. ~ Creator

UWAIS WAS ASKED, ’HOW DO YOU FEEL?’

HE SAID, ’LIKE ONE WHO HAS ARISEN IN THE MORNING AND DOES NOT KNOW WHETHER HE WILL BE DEAD IN THE EVENING.’

THE OTHER MAN SAID, ’BUT THIS IS THE SITUATION OF ALL MEN.’

UWAIS SAID, ’YES, BUT HOW MANY OF THEM FEEL IT?’

ONCE a learned Mohammedan came to me and asked, ”You are not a Mohammedan, then why do you speak on Sufism?’ I told him, ’I am not a Mohammedan, obviously, but I am a Sufi all the same.’

A Sufi need not be a Mohammedan. A Sufi can exist anywhere, in any form – because Sufism is the essential core of all religions. It has nothing to do with Islam in particular. Sufism can exist without Islam; Islam cannot exist without Sufism. Without Sufism, Islam is a corpse. Only with Sufism does it become alive.

Whenever a religion is alive it is because of Sufism. Sufism simply means a love affair with God, with the ultimate, a love affair with the whole. It means that one is ready to dissolve into the whole, that one is ready to invite the whole to come into one’s heart. It knows no formality. It is not confined by any dogma, doctrine, creed or church. Christ is a Sufi, so is Mohammed. Krishna is a Sufi, so is Buddha. This is the first thing I would like you to remember: that Sufism is the innermost core – as Zen is, as Hassidism is. These are only different names of the same ultimate relationship with God.

When all is said and done, it all comes down to you and, of course, down to you and Me. All that you fight outside yourself is a ramification of you. There is something within you that roils you. The itch you scratch is always yours.
 
How are you? How are you? This is the question you are dealing with. There is no they, beloveds. Whatever gets in your way, it is something within you that gets in your way.
 
If you are looking for a certain house on Main Street, and someone gives you incorrect directions, it is nevertheless you who looks for the house. It is you who gets lost, or it is you who finds the house.
 
No matter whose party you go to, it is your party. It is your good time or not. The party can be thrown for you, everything well-prepared for you and the other guests invited, and, yet, the party is up to you.
 
Whatever music is played, you are the one who dances to it.
 
This makes life a beautiful opportunity for you, for the life you live is the life you see through your own eyes.

The soul does not condemn us.  It is not the God of our fathers.

Soul is the essence of existence and it is free and limitless. It gives all things the freedom to be, to grow, and eventually to know. It is not a judge, but a passive observer of all things.

The soul is the feeling of life, without the judgment and separation of the mind and ego. It has no commandments for us to follow, other than to live, learn, and grow in awareness of ourselves and life by experience.

When we accept ourselves as we are and the events of our life, we are following the soul of existence. We are given opportunities to learn, grow, and know our natural self, without judgment.

When we follow the god of the ego, we must judge our actions and our life. The soul is not a judge of life.

The soul allows us to fail in following its love and wisdom, without condemnation.

I’ve said before that I think this existence is already perfect, and beyond working to repair this planet and surface/heal our inner demons, there’s little we can do to match this already vibrant reality with the pure states of consciousness we want to reenter.

We have so much joy; so much love and beauty to feel and remember, and for the most part, we’ve been rooted too deeply in the mind to really feel them. No more, I say. Let all of humanity root themselves unflinchingly in the open heart space, because when we do, we’ll realize that this planet offers far more beauty than most of us give it credit for.
