Report: Legal Pot In 18 States By 2020

screen-shot-2015-01-26-at-11-28-48-am

A new report set to be released next month by ArcView Market Research predicts that by 2020, 18 states will have legalized marijuana. Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Alaska already have.

The report was sponsored by marijuana-industry groups that have a pro-legalization tone. From Time:

The map has a lot of overlap with the places where the Marijuana Policy Project (MPP), the group that helped launch legal weed in Colorado, already has workers on the ground in preparation for legalization votes over the next two years. Yet MPP is a bit more cautious in its outlook: the group believes 12 states could join Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Alaska in allowing recreational pot by 2017. Unlike ArcView (whose executive director sits on MPP’s board), they’re not banking on legalization taking root in Montana, New Jersey or Connecticut over the next few years, according to spokesperson Morgan Fox. He says they’re concentrating current efforts in Arizona, California, Maine, Massachusetts and Nevada. They see Texas — yes, Texas —as an outside possibility.

Frauds: 17 Medical Journals Publish This Scientist’s Fake Medical Research

Mark Shrime, a Harvard scientist pursuing a PhD in health policy wanted to see just how easy it is to get medical research published in various medical journals. Every day he says he receives at least one request from an open-access medical journal asking to publish his research.

The catch? They only need $500 to publish it.

So Shrime decided to see how easy it would be to public a bogus article. So he made one up using www.randomtextgenerator.com. He titled the article “Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs?” and wrote that the authors were Pinkerton A. LeBrain and Orson Welles. The articles subtitle was “The surgical and neoplastic role of cacao extract in breakfast cereals.”

Shrime submitted his bogus article to some 37 journals, and two weeks later, 17 journals had accepted it...

Scientists Claim That Quantum Theory Proves Consciousness Moves To Another Universe At Death

A book titled “Biocentrism: How Life and Consciousness Are the Keys to Understanding the Nature of the Universe“ has stirred up the Internet, because it contained a notion that life does not end when the body dies, and it can last forever. The author of this publication, scientist Dr. Robert Lanza who was voted the 3rd most important scientist alive by the NY Times, has no doubts that this is possible.

Beyond time and space

Lanza is an expert in regenerative medicine and scientific director of Advanced Cell Technology Company. Before he has been known for his extensive research which dealt with stem cells, he was also famous for several successful experiments on cloning endangered animal species.

But not so long ago, the scientist became involved with physics, quantum mechanics and astrophysics. This explosive mixture has given birth to the new theory of biocentrism, which the professor has been preaching ever since. Biocentrism teaches that life and consciousness are fundamental to the universe.  It is consciousness that creates the material universe, not the other way around.

Medical Marijuana May Help Sick Children, Says Pediatric Academy

001Jayden

The push for the decriminalization of marijuana at the federal level just got a little bit stronger as the American Academy of Pediatrics, or AAP, has thrown its support behind medical marijuana for sick children.

The AAP recognized that medicinal marijuana may be a treatment option for kids “with life-limiting or severely debilitating conditions for whom current therapies are inadequate.”

Recently, 200 families moved to Colorado, where marijuana was legalized for adults in 2012, in search of medical marijuana for their children. Strains of pot like Charlotte’s Web have been shown, at least anecdotally, to control seizures in children.

“We don’t want to marginalize families who feel like this is the only option for their child because of crisis,” said Dr. Sharon Levy...

5 Foods That Will Reactivate Your Pineal Gland

The pineal gland, which is a small gland located near the center of your brain, is considered by some to be the gateway to higher levels of consciousness. Anatomically, it functions as the producer of melatonin, and some scientists believe that it also releases Dimethyltryptamine, or DMT, during periods of great stress.

Some believe that as we get older, our pineal gland begins to calcify. To be clear, there have been no studies conducted on this matter, so there is no scientific consensus on the matter. But there are ways to prevent calcification apparently.

Cut out the fluoride.

Fluoride is in a bunch of common things, like tap water and toothpaste. To avoid this, purchase fluoride-free toothpaste and properly filter your tap water before drinking it. Do not buy bottled water...

The 10 Most Important Inventions Of Nikola Tesla

Ere many generations pass, our machinery will be driven by a power obtainable at any point of the universe. Throughout space there is energy.  — Nikola Tesla, 1892

Nikola Tesla is finally beginning to attract real attention and encourage serious debate nearly 70 years after his death.  Was he for real? A crackpot? Part of an early experiment in corporate-government control?

We know that he was undoubtedly persecuted by the energy power brokers of his day — namely Thomas Edison, whom we are taught in school to revere as a genius.  He was also attacked by J.P. Morgan and other “captains of industry.” Upon Tesla’s death on January 7th, 1943, the U.S. government moved into his lab and apartment confiscating all of his scientific research, some of which has been released by the FBI through the Freedom of Information Act. (I’ve embedded the first 250 pages below and have added a link to the .pdf of the final pages, 290 in total).

13 Things That Mentally Strong People Don’t Ever Do

1. They Don’t Waste Time Feeling Sorry for Themselves

What’s the point in feeling sorry for yourself anyway? Mentally strong people recognize the mistakes they’ve made, and instead of dwelling upon them, they grow from them.

2. They Don’t Give Away Their Power

The mentally strong don’t allow other people to control them. They’re in charge of their own lives and their own futures, not anyone else.

3. They Don’t Shy Away from Change

When it comes to change, mentally strong people don’t run away from it,  but rather take it head on.

4. They Don’t Waste Energy on Things They Can’t Control

You’re certainly not going to hear a mentally strong people griping over things outside of their control, like crummy people at work or delays at the airport...

50,000 Gallons Of Oil Spills Into Yellowstone River, Tap Water Unsafe T Drink

An oil pipeline in Montana has burst, spilling more than 50,000 gallons of oil directly into the Yellowstone River, which prompted the governor to declare a state of emergency. In nearby cities, residents were told not to drink the tap water. Some locals said the water smelled like diesel.

The oil spill happened when a 12 inch pipeline ruptured about 5 miles up from the city of Glendive, says Montana’s Department of Environmental quality. The Bridger Pipeline company shut down the pipeline, but not before dumping as much as 50,400 gallons of oil into the river.

Glendive City Council member Gerald Reichert was among the residents who noted the terrible odor coming from the tap water.

The Lakota Vow To Die Before Letting KXL Pipeline Through

Native American activists along with the Oglala Lakota have made a vow to die before they allow the Keystone XL Pipeline through their land, saying they’ll either be dead or in prison before it does.

The Oglala Lakota Nation is scrambling to organize a protest movement to oppose the construction of the controversial Keystone XL Pipeline. The pipeline would be 1,700 miles long and move an incredible 830,000 barrels of crude oil every day from Canada through their land in South Dakota on toward the Texas coast. Pipelines like this one have a long history of terrible leaks and explosions.

The current path for the pipeline has it crossing at two points with a pipeline that is the main water source for the people of Oglala Lakota Pine Ridge Reservation as well as Sicangu Rosebud reservation. A spill would place in jeopardy the safety of their drinking water.
