...truth cannot be expressed because the very reaching to it is through silence, soundlessness, thoughtlessness. You reach to it through no-mind, the mind drops. And how can you use something which as a necessary condition has to drop before truth can be reached? Mind cannot understand, mind cannot realize, how can mind express? Remember it as a rule: if mind can attain, mind can express; if mind cannot attain to it, mind cannot express it. All language is futile. Truth cannot be expressed.

Then what have all the scriptures been doing? Then what is Lao Tzu doing? Then what are the Upanishads doing? They all try to say something which cannot be said in the hope that a desire may arise in you to know about it. Truth cannot be said but in the very effort of saying it a desire can arise in the hearer to know that which cannot be expressed. A thirst can be provoked. The thirst is there, it needs a little provocation. You are already thirsty – how can it be otherwise? You are not blissful, you are not ecstatic – you are thirsty. Your heart is a burning fire. You are seeking something which can quench the thirst, but, not finding the water, not finding the source, by and by you have tried to suppress your thirst itself. That is the only way, otherwise it is too much, it will not allow you to live at all. So you suppress the thirst.

A Master like Lao Tzu knows well that truth cannot be said, but the very effort to say it will provoke something, will bring the suppressed thirst in you to the surface. And once the thirst surfaces, a search, an inquiry starts. And he has moved you.

GMO Labeling Law Passes in Vermont!

will's picture

It was a good day in Montpelier yesterday, and not just because the sun was shining bright and warm. On May 8th, Governor Shumlin signed Vermont’s GMO labeling bill into law making Vermont the first state that will require labels on genetically engineered foods! The law will require labels on genetically engineered foods (also called genetically modified organisms, or GMOs) sold at retail outlets in Vermont, and will go in to effect on July 1st 2016. The law would also prohibit labeling products produced with genetic engineering as “natural”, “100% natural” or “all natural”.

The bill signing took place on a beautiful afternoon on the State House steps, was well attended, and was followed by a celebration accompanied by several musical performances and Ben and Jerry’s scooping free ice cream for all in attendance.

“This is not only a victory for the people of Vermont, it’s a victory for the millions of Americans who are demanding the right to know what’s in their food,” said VPIRG Consumer Protection Advocate Falko Schilling. “Today affirms that when the people stand up and speak with one voice meaningful change can happen.”

The power of the present moment - Taryn Crimi

will's picture

Today we would like to focus your attention upon the power that exists within the present moment. Surely many of you have been told that the present moment is all that ever really exists. However it is our intention to share with you why the now moment is so transformational yet it is so often allowed to slip away while you focus on future events and past regrets.

We have shared with you that time is an illusion. We often refer to all time as being concurrent or simultaneous as each moment is simply another perspective of the now moment. Much of your energy is wasted upon your focus of “future” or “past” events. We often say that if you feel worried you are focused on the future, if you are sad or remorseful you are focused on the past and if you are at peace you are fully present in the now moment. Certainly you do have the ability to feel negatively in the present moment however it is only in the now moment that you have the ability to shift your perspective.

Debunking the 5 Biggest Myths About Cannabis - Waking Times

will's picture

The more research is released, the more legalization makes sense.

Back in the 1930s, the arguments to criminalize cannabis were bizarre and openly racist. The anti-pot crusader Harry Anslinger made all sorts of over-the-top claims, such as, “Marihuana is a short cut to the insane asylum. Smoke marihuana cigarettes for a month and what was once your brain will be nothing but a storehouse of horrid specters.”

Nowadays more than 100 million Americans say they’ve smoke pot, millions use cannabis regularly to treat illnesses and it is as legal as alcohol in two U.S. states. However, it remains illegal under federal law largely due to scare tactics ingrained in our society, which date back even prior to Anslinger.

Today, pot legalization opponents try a little harder to sound reasonable, but their claims don’t do much better than Anslinger’s under scrutiny. Recent studies have picked apart the justifications for criminalizing marijuana. Here are five of the most popular arguments against cannabis legalization that are easily undermined by objective data.

Can The Ego Create An Illusion Of Happiness Within Us? - Sabrina Reber

will's picture

9ea55012bf048a48c8d5d1977e157a03

QUESTION: Can the ego create illusions of happiness or anything positive for that matter.

ANSWER: Yes, never underestimate the tricks of the ego. The ego will help you remain in denial about the things in your life that need healing by helping you put on a fake mask of happiness, health and contentment. The ego will keep you fearful of change and it will help you justify your repetitive patterns that truly no longer serve your highest good. Our egos blind us and keep us in the darkness of lower self re-creations over and over again making it difficult for us to access our higher consciousness because we are too busy projecting our issues outside of ourselves onto other people. Instead of spending time in inner reflection really connecting with our true being allowing ourselves the time to SEE and FEEL what is going on in our own life, we are more interested in looking at the chaos, dysfunction and pain in other people’s lives so we can keep ourselves distracted and feel better about our selves.

The Obstacle - Knowing Whispers

will's picture

The idea of God is an attempt by mind and ego to avoid connecting with the authentic self and the true nature of existence.

The mind and imagination have created all manner of fictitious imagery in an attempt to satisfy the loneliness of the mind and ego as they attempt to fulfill themselves.

The reason why spirituality does not fulfill is because a belief does not reach into the core of existence to reveal the essence of our true nature. Beliefs are like toys in a child’s sandbox. They imitate the real, but are not real.

It is a fruitless quest to seek God, until we have found the true nature of God within us.

US accuses Israel of ‘alarming, even terrifying’ levels of spying

will's picture

I kind wonder about the timing of these revelations, especially in the wake of Snowden's disclosures about groups like Five Eyes and their obscene spying programs such as XKeyscore.

Israel has been trying to steal secrets from the US, its principal protector and benefactor, but also occasional rival, ever since the inception of the Jewish state in 1948, and even before. But according to the latest issue of Newsweek, quoting Obama administration officials, these activities have “crossed red lines” rarely encountered in the past.

In the words of one Congressional aide, with access to classified briefings in January on the subject, Israel’s behaviour was “very sobering…?alarming…?even terrifying”. Israel, it would appear, is after everything it can lay its hands on: not just diplomatic and policy documents, but industrial and military technology. The means include Israeli trade missions to the US, joint ventures between Israeli and American companies and, presumably, spying by Israeli intelligence agencies.

My thoughts on Jesus

Isis Ra's picture

Let me start by saying that nobody knows the facts about Jesus, because we were not alive, so absolutely everything we believe is based strictly off what we are taught by our parents or churches. To blindly believe everything we hear is like playing the game telephone and defensively and forcefully saying it's impossible the message had changed by the end, even though it's impossible to know what the original message was. That being said, here is what I think about Jesus.

Jesus was a human being. He did not walk on water, change water into wine, miraculously heal people, etc. He was a great person. He was kind, generous, loving, compassionate, and people during that time spoke highly of him for that. The church made up the fact that Jesus did all these things for one reason: control. The catholic church is a sick, disgusting, power-hungry, corrupt organization, and to blindly follow everything said by an organization who money launders millions of dollars, rapes little boys, etc. is a pretty ignorant thing to do. The church from what I see says this: "Be like Jesus, even though it's impossible because he walked on water, etc." But what if Jesus was just a humanitarian? Someone who put others before himself, someone who did not want followers but co-creators. Then we actually could be like Jesus, which scares people from what I have seen. But instead people get defensive and try to force their beliefs on others, but guess what? I doubt that is what Jesus would do. Jesus would let you believe whatever you want, be whoever you want, and love you for it. He did not force his beliefs upon others, he treated everyone with kindness regardless of race, social status, amount of money, etc.

Open Internet backers stage ‘Occupy FCC’

will's picture

Internet libertarians calling for the equal treatment of all Internet data have camped out in front of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington, D.C., saying they won’t quit their Occupy-style protest until the regulator stands up for Net neutrality.

About 15 people stood outside the FCC’s headquarters on Wednesday afternoon in a protest organized by the two groups, Fight for the Future and Popular Resistance. Five of the demonstrators said they were determined to set up camp overnight and stick around until May 15, when the commission is set to unveil proposed new Net neutrality rules — or perhaps longer, if the new rules don’t meet their expectations.

Margaret Flowers of Popular Resistance says members of the protest — officially called “Camp Out to Save Net Neutrality” or “People’s Firewall FCC Camp” and unofficially as “Occupy FCC” — are in it for the long haul, bringing sleeping bags and signs and engaging in chants, such as “Hey, hey, FCC, the Internet must be free” and “FCC, drop the barrier, make the Internet a common carrier.”

The FCC’s new net neutrality proposal is already ruining the Internet

will's picture

It may seem melodramatic to say that the future of the Internet in the United States was put in jeopardy earlier this year when a U.S. Appeals court killed net neutrality. Unfortunately, it is not melodramatic at all.

Net neutrality rules had been put in place to ensure that Internet service providers and other related entities treat all data as equal without giving preferential treatment to large companies that might otherwise be able to pay extra for faster connections.

Since January when the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia struck down net neutrality laws that had been put in place in 2010, we have already seen things begin to change for the worse.

A brief glimmer of hope emerged last month when the FCC announced that it would try to bring net neutrality back from the dead, but hope quickly turned into outrage when people realized that the FCC’s new net neutrality proposal appears to be designed specifically to ensure that the Internet is not neutral.

God See Flowers When We See Weeds - Not Just A Blonde

will's picture

Often what we see as out of place or unwanted, God sees as beautiful and good! Who or what is the weed in your life?

The weeds in my life are often people that press my ego’s buttons! They annoy me, insult me, or hurt me! I feel like they are ruining the beauty of my life’s lawn… I want to pluck them right out and toss them in a bag to the curb!

Yet… these weeds are often people God has placed in my path for a reason. He wants me to learn tolerance, forgiveness, humbleness and… to learn to see the lovability of others as He sees what’s lovable in me!

Often it’s just a matter of perspective… stepping back and looking at the beauty in the big picture. It’s a matter of understanding that sometimes our biggest blessings are flowers that look like weeds. We can finally see their beauty if we let go of our earthly perspective and take a look through the eyes of God.

Synchronicities - Mayan Messages

will's picture

We encourage you to take time to clear your mind, meditate, pray and seek inside for answers. Often the responses are subtle: a fleeting thought, an intuition, a gut reaction or goose pimples. How do you know when it is us or your Higher Self making contact? First is the ability to trust your instincts. It is much easier to trust your instincts after you have relinquished your fears. At times you may get an intuition, but your fears create a gut reaction response that keeps you from following through with the intuition. This is an important reason why facing and walking through your fears is imperative. Once you have learned to walk with courage, your next task is to follow your intuition.

If what you are prompted to do is for your highest good and for the highest good of all concerned, then know you are on the right Path. We understand that this is not always a good indicator, for you do not know all the ramifications that may occur as a result of any action or if the results ultimately are for the highest good of all. Many times what seems painful for another turns out to be a great gift or teacher.

Another indicator to know if what you are experiencing is for your highest good is to pay attention to your feelings as you make choices. In most cases, if you have released associated fears and blocks caused by belief codes, you will know for certainty that you should follow through with what you feel prompted to do.

Operation Monsanto Stock Plunge: Big Monsanto Stock Dump Friday, May 9th

will's picture

(NaturalSociety) Millions will be encouraged to dump Monsanto stock this coming Friday, May 9th, to give a clear message to the biotech industry that we don’t support them at all. With rallies planned across the country, as well as picketing to bring attention to companies like Fidelity that owsn huge amount of Monsanto stock, activists everywhere will bring the poisoning, monopolizing Monsanto, and its supporters to their knees.

Monsanto completely dominates the world seed market – for now. More than 282 million acres are currently planted with Monsanto’s vile GMO soy and corn. Over 40% of US croplands are planted with this atrocious non-food, garbage. It’s simply time to cut off Monsanto’s allowance.

Daily Message ~ Thursday May 8, 2014 - Trinity Esoterics

will's picture

We find it interesting that humans seem to have slotted themselves into certain beliefs for different times of their lives. Fun is for when you are young. Adventure is for when you are single. You will start to live for yourself once your kids are grown. You have wisdom when you are mature. If you are lucky you will find peace before you transition. What limiting rules you have set for yourselves!

Dear Ones, we want you to have the whole experience. How sad it is that you think you have to put aside fun in your adult years! Live! Know that the only rules that apply are the ones that you set for yourselves. Open up to the endless possibilities that exist for all of you and have the whole experience! You can create the life expression of your dreams at any age or phase of your life. ~Archangel Gabriel
