You felt confused and a little anxious when others did not quite get your joy and were lagging behind. There you were, dancing from foot to foot….your shouts of, “HURRY UP! The Void!!  That place of feeling completely disconnected from your own inner spiritual resources.  I landed in this place Saturday and it seemed to deepen with each coming day.  But if that place isn’t bleak enough, someone took my internal battery and just drained all the juice too.  I suppose it does make you too tired to care.  I suppose I should have known this place was around my corner when the last two sharings I put out were so… cumulative, kind of like one of those final exam essays you need to write about all you learned in class the past year.

Maybe this is what is known as summer break.  I really don’t want a freakin break.  But then again, who (in spirit) cares what I want, it is always what I need.  Dammit.

I sat in front of my computer for 2 hours yesterday, sure that if I can get a sharing out, I would jump start the spiritual battery within and have a feeling of some sort of direction within myself.  The faucet was dry.  Not a word came out of the tap .  Dammit.

Wow, the energy was powerfully palpable at the satsang this night! We've never had so many technology anomalies while producing a video. We only adjusted the overall brightness of the video because the room was so dark and there was limited light. It's interesting how often the lighting, color, and contrast all fluctuate during this hour. And, for those of you who are used to watching our videos, coming to the retreats, or listening to our radio show -- you will surely also notice the distinctive changes of quality in Matt's voice that you don't usually hear.

Blockade outside Cuadrilla fracking site in Balcombe

Anti-fracking protestors Reclaim the Power have targeted Cuadrilla at locations across the UK shutting down their HQ in Lichfield, their PR company in London, and Balcombe drill site. Campaigners condemned violent policing at the gates of the drill site, where police charged, shoved and kettled a group that included children, people in wheelchairs, pensioners, MP Caroline Lucas, and journalists.

 

Protestor Ewa Jasiewicz, who is at the kettle said: “This an outrageously aggressive response to a day of principled civil disobedience. All of our actions have safety, dignity and respect at their core. Cuadrilla and the government were desperate to discredit fracking opponents. We offered them no aggression so they are creating it themselves.”

florida marijuana supreme courtThursday, organizers celebrated a big win for decriminalizing medical marijuana in Florida.

United For Care announced they hadobtained over 100,000 signatures in one month, which is more than enough to initiate the first step in getting the initiative on the 2014 ballot: a Supreme Court review of the proposal language.

Our collective culture states that a Blue Moon occurs when there are two full moons in a calendar month. This makes no sense since all our original calendars are based on celestial events. What does make sense is that a Blue Moon occurs when there are two full moons in an astrological sign. That event changes the energy of how we experience the Moon’s cycle. Once in a blue Moon then makes sense, since this change in the lunar cycle happens about every 33 months. Once in a Blue Moon indeed!

This week’s full Moon is the second full Moon to take place in Leo/Aquarius—the first one occurred on July 22, 2013. Having two new or full moons occur in an astrological sign signifies a change in how we experience the lunar cycle. In May-June 2012, there were two new moons in the sign of Gemini—these switched the lunar cycle so that the full Moon in a sign has been coming before the new Moon in that sign. This creates a dis-connect in the lunar cycle so that we have to deal with two different energies at once. Now the Moon’s cycle is coming back to its original cycle of new then full Moon. See if you start to feel more emotionally balanced as this new Blue Moon cycle takes hold.

About 10,000 chemicals are added to Americans’ food to make it taste better or look better, to thicken it, preserve it, or otherwise improve it. That’s an awful lot of chemicals for the federal Food and Drug Administration to monitor. How do they do it? It turns out that, often, they don’t. According to the authors of a study published in JAMA Internal Medicine this month, the agency doesn’t even know what all the food additive chemicals are.
